It was a freezing morning.
A Lady leaned against her Car seat, taking a few moments of rest work hadn't let her have, the snow shimmering heavily on each side of the vehicle.
It had started to snow heavily while she was heading back from her Company, her Bodyguard didn't need to be told to stop the Car for safety as the road grew wet and slippery.
He was jerked awake from his slight slumber when he heard a thud that was relatively loud compared to the serenity of the vicinity. The Car slid mildly on the coated floors from the impact, but she wouldn't let herself be bothered, still leaning back with her eyes closed and not even seeming fazed in the least.
But he wasn't surprised at her behaviour, since he had been with her for a while, still he couldn't help but be puzzled. She could have died on the sloppy grounds, no matter how minor that shoving must have been.
He didn't have much time to glance at his Sleeping Beauty; the window was knocked on. Anthony peered over his shoulder at her and back at the window not sure how she would take it if he just pulled the door open.
This Ma'am of his was very famous in the Business World, but kept such a low profile that a lot of people didn't know her, even her employees, yet people still managed to get to her despite the low profile.
Why wouldn't they, when she bore her name proudly on the Plate Number?
She had been attacked before and this might just be one of their schemes to get to her again. It didn't seem to bother her, why should it stress him out then?
Anthony slid down the glass when he realized he wasn't getting Orders any time soon.
Ah, if it wasn't Dylan Smith's Assistant...
"Sorry, Man," he said, taking a quick look at the exterior of the Car, "just trying to avoid an animal."
Anthony spared Waylen a glance; top to bottom and back. Well, he didn't look like someone who would care for peoples' lives talk more of an animal, so who was he trying to fool?
But, he didn't get out to see that damage done and,
"Oh, wow," he said flatly as a corner of his lips pulled up, causing Waylen to give him a side-way glance, "another reason to change Cars."
The side bonnet of the car was pressed back in an abnormal position, head-lights smashed since the Car had slammed into a tree. The wind-screen was also cracked; a narrow line that ran from top to down here and there and the side mirror dangling weakly.
"Yeah," Waylen said, poking a tongue in his cheek, "just calculate the cost and the damage would be paid for immediately."
He had always loved her kind of Car, but when he actually saw it, it was crumpled like a piece of paper about to be thrown in the garbage.
How wry.
He reached in his pocket to take out a card, but an unfeeling voice stopped him, "find the exact same Car, hand it over to me with an apology letter. The name and signature shouldn't be sought for."
She didn't even seem to have a care in the World how they were going to do 'all those'.
That was tough, Waylen shrugged, pushing the card gently back in his pant's pocket. He could already tell his Boss's pride would probably kick in, but hey, they were the ones who hit her car.
He pursed his lips and wordlessly made his way to the other car to deliver the message.
A pair of eyes darkened when the other driver told him the Woman's demands.
His time was worth millions and right then, he had an Office to be in. There was absolutely no time to worry about a spoilt Brat's Car. Who would make such outrageous demands unless she was spoilt?
He had dealt with so many like her and was tired of them. He didn't want to add more to the list, but he didn't think it would be gentle-manly to leave just like that, since the Car that damaged hers was his.
He put a hand into his pocket and when it came out, he was holding a black, luxurious Credit Card.
Dylan handed it over to his Assistant who nodded obediently and walked away.
"Ma'am, he's coming with a Card." Anthony informed her and she ordered in her usual emotionless way,
"Let's go."
Ready as ever, the car sped away.
It was expensive, so the car had to serve its purpose no matter how badly hit.
His face clouded as he watched the Car get farther and farther out of sight.
"The devil did it on purpose." He cursed under his breath.
