" Sebastian is here already?". Tyler said to himself while tightening his bow. He raises his bow up, which is already armed with an arrow, aiming to shoot the beast king when it comes to sight. He thought Sebastian would have done a great Job by luring the beast king to chase him into the trees.
"Don't shoot". Sebastian shouted, as he made his way through the trees towards Tyler's position.
"What happened, where is the beast king?" Tyler asked. He knew Sebastian was scared judging by his facial expression.
"I can't do it, the beast king won't even notice me. It is laying down beside the river, it seems it's sleeping or something".
"That should have even made the job easier for you".
"No you don't get it, I tried everything to make the beast notice me. But it won't even budge".
"Why don't you get closer enough, this should have been easy for you".
"I tried, if i get closer than that, i would have been dead by now". Sebastian replied in a faint voice.
Tyler knew he had to do something. It has always been his dream to kill a beast King and advance to the first stage of human genetic mutation.
"I will do it myself". Tyler said, walking towards the direction Sebastian came from.
"Are you crazy, it's dangerous. You can get yourself killed". Sebastian shouted, trying to convince his friend.
Tyler did not look back. Sebastian knew he had to follow him, because he will be responsible if anything bad happens to Tyler.
Tyler starts walking towards the river with Sebastian walking behind him.
Tyler had average long hair. His eyeballs were red due to the complications of being born in a radiation zone, making him see better in the dark than a normal human.
They reach the river side, Tyler starts walking towards the Beast, it seems the beast is sleeping.
"Strange, mutant beasts don't sleep," Tyler said to himself.
"Maybe it's dead," Sebastian replied.
"No, it's not. We heard roars and squeaks the other time. It's not dead"
Tyler gets so close to the beast that he can even touch it. He notices that the beast is still sleeping. He wants to aim a poison arrow into the beast eye. Unfortunately the beast's eyes were closed.
The beast king skin was harder than an armored vehicle. He knew if the king's eyes were shut, there's no where an arrow can penetrate through it.
Tyler decides to touch the beast king.
"Stop. Look at that". Sebastian shouted from afar, pointing at something attached to the beast king leg.
Tyler looked at where Sebastian pointed. A EMP trap was hanging on the beast leg.
"Is that an EMP trap". Tyler looked confused
"Yes, it is. That means the beast king is likely to be unconscious". Sebastian replied Tyler, knowing deeply that they might be walking into a danger.
An EMP trap was used on The Omuas spaceship. The huge waves of the electromagnetic pulse were used to disable the enemy spaceships when at war.
" The electromagnetic wave must have stunned the beast king" Tyler thought to himself
"Don't you think we should find a way to kill it, While it's still asleep" Sebastian sounded worried.
"This is cruel, how can someone hunt an animal with an EMP device".
" We are not different, have you forgotten we are also trying to kill the beast". Sebastian teased Tyler.
" I can't hunt a wounded beast king, there's no honour in that". Tyler replied.
"So we should just leave it and go?".
"Let's start going, there are more healthy animals here to hunt other than a wounded beast". Tyler said while taking the arrow out of the bow.
Sebastian gazed at his friend, he knew it's not all about killing a beast king and advancing to the first stage of human genetic mutation that worries Tyler, it's all about the action involved when hunting the beast.
Sebastian knew that killing a beast king is worth a fortune. He knew Tyler's determined face, or else he would have convinced his friend into finding a way to kill the beats, as it would make them rich only by selling it's skin.
"Tyler, are you sure about this?. We can get lots of rice just by selling the skin of this beast". Sebastian said this, trying to notice his friend's reaction.
"We won't kill it, let's just go find another beast to kill. This area is filled with tall trees. It's easy to find mutated animals here".
Sebastian knew Tyler was determined. There's nothing he would say that will change Tyler's mind. As they were set to leave the spot, Tyler noticed the Beast king opening its eye.
"It's waking up" Tyler said silently while turning to face Sebastian.
Sebastian feels uneasy, standing before a beastking that just experienced a near death trauma. Tyla quickly armed his bow with a poisoning arrow. He knew he had to make the shot while the beastking is still a bit weak.
Things didn't happen as they expected. The beast king quickly jumped on its feet and focused his attention on Sebastian. Tyler and Sebastian became startled, they were shocked that they could not move an inch from the spot. Things turned to be unfortunate for them, Sebastian knew this is the unfortunate moment he never wished to happen.
Beast kings were known for their aggressive nature, destroying anything they encountered. They never spared any non-mutant beings. They only spare only mutated creatures like them.
The beast king stared at Sebastian, with saliva dripping down his mouth which was equipped with two teeths which looked like saber.
"Take the shot Tyler". Sebastian thought in his mind. He knew the beast king was about to devour him.
Tyler took control of his arms, and aimed straight at the beast king's eye, but he missed. The arrow hitting the beast head sounded like a bullet hitting an iron. The beast king switched his gaze, and started advancing towards Tyler
Tyler knew this was the end of him. He immediately regrets talking his friend into hunting a beastking. He wish, he should have listened to Sebastian's advice.
The beast king came face to face with Tyler who was already shivering, Sebastian ran for his life when he realized that the beast king already switched it's attention to Tyler, he disappeared into the woods. Tyler knew he was betrayed, but he could not blame Sebastian, he knew he was the one that talked Sebastian into hunting a beast king.
Something unusual happened. Tyler already closed his eyes, knowing that it's the end of him, the beast king should have chopped off Tyler's head, but it didn't. The beast king lay down in front of Tyler, like a dog laying before it's master. Tyler opened his eyes, only to find a beast king lying before him. He could not believe what happened, he decided to run for his life, when there's still time. Tyler took to his heel and mistakenly dropped his bow and arrows.
The beast king followed Tyler, galloping behind him. Tyler quickly hid inside some bushes, he thought the beast king wouldn't notice him this way.
The beast king stood right in front of where Tyler hid, it seems the beast king knows Tyler scent.
"Surely he knows I am hiding here, but why won't it kill me yet". Tyler thought to himself.
Tyler decides to get out of his hiding place and make another run for it. While running, he noticed the beast king did not chase him. Instead it layed down looking at Tyler while running. Tyler slowed down, he knew something was wrong. He thought maybe the beast king thought he saved it's life and decided not to kill him.
Tyler decided to turn back, he approached the beast king which was still lying down. Even though the beast king lied down with its head on the ground. The beast king is taller than Tyler almost three times. The beast king stood up and brought it's head close to Tyler, that even his nose touched Tyler.
Sebastian came out of nowhere, it's sure that he is still running from the beast king. The beast saw Sebastian, and pounced on him, ready to devour Sebastian, when Tyler shouted "noooo" because he was scared. The beast king immediately released its grip on Sebastian.
Sebastian was surprised when he saw what happened. Beats kings aren't animals you talk to and they obey, something is surely wrong.
The beast king returns to Tyler and starts rubbing its head on Sebastian's face. Sebastian thought for a moment and could not understand what was going on. The beast king had the chance to eat him, but it never did. The beast king turned itself into a pet that rubs his head on his face. And he shouted "no" which stopped a beast king from killing his friend.
Beast kings were only known not to attack mutants like them, Tyler knew he was not a mutant and never had any disability in his structure that can prove he is a mutant being.
"Have I gotten myself a beast king pet?".
