Chris and Aurora got into his car and drove off. He stopped in front of burger shop for a take away knowing how hungry she must be. He took the umbrella and walked out and she joined him. To others, they looked like two people living like in a love song, holding hands playing with each other. They were holding each other as they walked through the pavement smiling like idiots so drunk in love. It hasn't stopped raining yet but kept on drizzling.
"Why is that whenever we are together, it rains along?" She wondered asking him. Both of them were getting wet.
"Because there seems to be something in the rain for us maybe." He answered her.
"Something in the rain," Aurora smiled while he moved her hair from her face and kissed her again holding the navy blue umbrella with silver hearts in one hand and pulling her close and holding on to her in the other hand not bothering about the crowd or people commenting. "Pretty." Someone who passed them said.
"Did you hear that ?" Aurora asked him pulling back. He smiled broadly and gave her one quick kiss and walked to get the food. "I will make sure to make every single person who sees us go jealous." He said as he stepped inside the shop. They walked back to the car hand in hand again and Chris started again.
Aurora seemed to be thinking too much. Her phone kept ringing. She knew it would be Kate.
"Pick up the call," Chris told her. He seemed to be taking the highway. Aurora took a deep breath. She was sure what it would be about. She answered her call.
"Where are you?" it was Kate indeed. She was waiting for Aurora.
"Out" Aurora replied and said nothing else.
"With him? Are you with Chris". Kate asked
"Yes," Aurora was afraid to speak more.
"Aurora what is your plan? Can you really do it?"
"What?" Aurora pretended like she did not hear what Kate asked her.
"You seem," Kate passed. "Are you okay?" She asked, doubting Aurora.
"I'm alright. Waddup?" Aurora changed the topic.
"Weird. Okay if you are with Chris and cannot speak much I will hang up. Anyways don't forget anything. Do as I told you. It's totally a success so far, so you make it fast okay."
Chris interrupted the call " Whoever it is, tell them we will be out of town for a couple of days and will be back before your graduation." Aurora was surprised to hear that.
"Hey." Aurora began to say something but was soon cut off.
"I heard that. Careful and do well. Call you later. Bye hon," Kate hung up.
"Are you okay?" Chris asked looking at her worried face.
Aurora smiled covering up everything. "I promise I won't honestly touch you unless you order me to. I will be a total gentleman this time. You can trust me. If that's what you are worried about."
'Oh my god no that's not it." She said. 'No. oh god. What am I gonna do?' Aurora thought keeping her smile and looked out the window recalling her deal with Kate. It kept raining for a bit more time.
Aurora could not remain peaceful. The call totally made her feel bad and awkward. Her mind kept wandering back to Kate and her promise. Aurora at the moment was confused and did not like it. Chris drove carefully since it was drizzling non-stop. He often glanced at her.
"Where are going?" She asked him suddenly, breaking the silence and changing the topic once again.
