Lu Rong's tone was light and almost commanding as if he had given Bai Qian a great deal. Bai Qian questioned, "Why should I do what you say?"
Bai Qian did not see why she should go back with Lu Rong and listen to him after what he had done to her.
Lu Rong frowned. No one dared to speak to him like that.
Bai Qian chuckled, "Since Mr. Lu suspects that I have other motives, logically speaking, you should have told me to get lost. Why do you want me to go back now?"
Lu Rong was calm as if he was confident in persuading her, "Name your price."
"What?" Bai Qian froze.
"I say, how much do you want me to pay you to get you to go back and take care of Ran Ran?" Lu Rong's tone was indifferent. It was as though he would not mind even if Bai Qian requested a sky-high price.
"Heh! Mr. Lu, you are indeed rich," Bai Qian mocked.
Lu Rong would have taught the woman in front of him a lesson if it were not because Ran Ran had requested that she wanted only Bai Qian to take care of her. Lu Rong squinted his eyes and said, "Miss Bai, you only have one chance to make a request. So, you have to think it through carefully."
Lu Rong had investigated before. Bai Qian was a senior jewelry designer while she was abroad. Her resume was quite eye-catching in the capital. However, instead of working as a designer, she applied for Lu Garden's maid position, which was a little ridiculous.
It was more suspicious than ridiculous. It seemed that Bai Qian was hiding a big secret from what she had done. Lu Rong felt it would be safer to keep such a person under his nose.
"Okay!" Lu Rong's offer had convinced Bai Qian. Bai Qian knew he was a man of his word. He said he would only give her one chance, and Bai Qian knew he would never give her a second chance. She gritted her teeth and said, "300,000 dollars a month! I won't go back if you give me lesser than that."
Lu Rong sneered, "Deal."
"Also, I have another condition," Bai Qian said stubbornly and fearlessly.
"What is it?"
"You misunderstood me before and almost choked me to death. Don't you think you should apologize to me?" Bai Qian said seriously.
She had to make Lu Rong apologize. Otherwise, he might do the same thing again the next time he was mad at her.
Lu Rong sneered again, "Okay. I promise you that I won't strangle you like that in the future."
"I'll strangle you to death," thought Lu Rong.
Bai Qian was speechless. She knew Lu Rong was not apologizing sincerely, and he would do that again.
A voice came from outside the door, "Boss, are you in there?"
It was Fan Bo's voice.
Lu Rong raised his voice and said, "Come in."
Fan Bo opened the door and came in, holding an employment contract in his hand.
Lu Rong pointed at Bai Qian and said to Fan Bo, "Hand it to her and ask her to sign on it."
"Yes, boss."
Fan Bo handed the contract to Bai Qian. When Bai Qian took the contract, she glanced at the clock.
It was exactly half an hour.
Bai Qian wondered if Lu Rong had already calculated that he would be able to convince her to go back in half an hour.
Bai Qian held a pen in her hand, but she didn't sign it. Instead, she asked Lu Rong, "What will you do if I don't sign this contract?"
"Simple," Lu Rong stood up and looked down at her, "I'll tie you up and carry you back."
Bai Qian was lost for words.
That was Lu Rong's personality indeed. He was efficient and would not waste time talking.
Bai Qian signed her name reluctantly.
Although she wanted to take care of her daughter, Lu Rong's attitude made her feel like he was forcing her.
Lu Rong's phone suddenly rang.
"Young master, something bad has happened. Miss Qi Yue is causing a scene at Lu Garden! She insists that Miss Ran Ran is a fake and not your daughter. Please come back quickly."
