Chapter 50 - The Ambush of Frost pt. 2

"Oh? Are you what the human called an alpha wolf?" The Yakshi got intrigued by the sudden change. Not just in the composition of his enemy, but also in how cold the atmosphere has become.

"The hell you saying, cunt!? Indeed I'm the head of the family, but calling us alpha, beta, gamma, delta is a bloody insult!" Every single wolf growl as Hada bark at the pseudo lady with a wave of cold anger.

"You're quite explosive for someone who's so frosty~" Teased the Yakshi.

"Too bad shit head! My father is a fiery man."

Hada swung his sword, turning it standing straight before his face. The blade glowed in the shade of noon sky, bright cyan and gradually getting lighter. [Bara] of every wolf followed and the night transformed as if the sun has blessed them with her light.

[Ice Magic]

[4th Level]

"(Glacial Shower)"

"Sempa: Awahat Zeta!"

Their [Bara] trembled and the air began to gather the cold it carried around those blades. Simultaneously, each of them exploded. Waves of ice energy surged in every direction, hunting for random Suanggi to strike.

Bursts of cold smoke blew all over as soon as they hit a target. The air crowded with white mist and glitter of snowflakes slowly descend, as they sparkle the night with crystally flowers.

Yet before the mist even fade, the pseudo sounds of footsteps began to louden themselves. The army of the void strikes back, with their weapons already raised high above their heads.

"Shatter them!" An order carried by cold scream.

The wolves charged towards their enemy with swords in their jaws. The battle between ice elementals (wolf-shaped) and the void broke. Stream of magical energy flowed through the air, as the war raged brutally.

Hada might be outnumbered to more than 1:10. But, as long as he's alive, he can continuously resurrect his elementals with the mana he possessed. And God knows how much mana he carried. Even I know. Well, it'll be weird if I don't know to be honest.

With the fall of each elemental and Suanggi, Hada slowly realized that not all who are present here participate in this battle. And to be exact, the Yakshi.

She just sat on her faded throne, enjoying the view spoiled before her eyes. The lady didn't seem to care about the lives of her soldier. That is to be expected, as I said before…

Those lower-ranking Suanggis are expendable.

The fight went long and harsh. Hada's endurance was being extremely tested. The problem is, it's not just his mana that got drained throughout this battle, his health and stamina were also suffering the same fate.

Unfortunately, those two parameters don't have an enormous capacity as his mana does. He's exhausted, while his main problem is still well-rested on her throne.

"I slowly digging my own grave… for Conqueror's sake, this is unfair." He whined while cutting off his enemy's head. He knew from the beginning, his chance to survive this is almost non-existent. Yet he never once stopped praying that his comrades will arrive to help him.

He only needs one more… one more person and the tide of battle might turn to his side. But no matter how much he begged the Holy System, no one helped him through his battle.

"Falisha… you're right. It's hard to be lonely when you're born a twin. I wish you're here to fight beside me."

The number on the battlefield goes thinner, and so does Hada's limit. When every lower-ranking Suanggi was finally slain, all the ice wolves summoned by Hada also cease from their existence.

The Malianis stood alone above masses of pseudo bodies, and what was left inside him didn't include any mana nor stamina. His health wasn't in a good condition either. He's dying from low fatigue.

"Well well… I can't say I'm not impressed by your performance ice boy." The Yakshi approached Hada who can barely stand, gasping for air. "But it seems I'm a bit too harsh on our foreplay."

She cut Hada's right arm with her black scimitar, and he immediately fell limp on the ground where he stood. His blood flow cold to the ground from losing his limb. The grasses touched by it quickly turned frozen solid.

This is his end. He didn't have enough strength to continue, especially with one less arm.

Too bad for Hada, the sin for Sky Scientist is lust. The shape and the way Yakshi dressed might peak this, but the dread he felt held the thought from anything lustful.

Although for someone who came from the main family (his mother's side), Hada possessed a trump card to power his magic without using his sin.

"Hey…" Hada weakly called the Yakshi, without moving a single hair on his body.

"Hm?" His voice piqued her curiosity.

"Have you…"

"Ever heard of…"

"Lone wolf?"

An icy explosion suddenly occurred around Hada, throwing everything away from his side. Not even the Yakshi was expecting this to happen, hench her body is now flying through the cold air.

The ice energy slowly carried Hada's body back to where he stands, as if some spectral frosty hands were helping him to get up.

Ice began to cover every wound his body suffered, and a new right arm grew from the cut bellow his shoulder, formed out of crystallized water vapor. It was frozen and spiky. The flow of ice energy can be seen streaming on every side of it.

"Ahahahah! Now, this is more like it!" The Yakshi shouted in excitement.

[Lone wolf] is one of Universe Magic bestowed upon Hada by the Holy System. It's his last line of defense which occurs when all of his mana has depleted and all of his summonings have died.

The ability of the main family of Iska (ice tribe) is the [Gift of Superconduct]. This ability will temporarily sacrifice every lust and emotion possessed by the user, to lower their temperature down to absolute zero (0 Kelvin).

When this happened, their body will infinitely regenerate mana and stamina, so they could fight as long as the ability persists and their life is still intact.

The [Lone Wolf] ability will trigger this passively.

So the Hada that is now standing before the Yakshi, is nothing more than an emotionless, tireless, ultra-powered machine of murder.
