As of right now, Rezen's [Blessed State] is only able to increase his base power by 50% but he is sure that the more he trained, the higher the increase in power would be
Since the enemy is still meters away from him, Rezen took out several shurikens in his side pocket and threw them in the air
The shurikens collided with each other, creating sparks from the friction but instead of messing up, the collision was actually according to Rezen's calculation
While the collision of shurikens are mostly something that was only done by inexperienced mana warrior, Rezen is different as he did it purposely
The shurikens at the back collided with the ones in the front and the knocking force sent the front ones forward with a faster speed than before while the ones at the back bounced off
With the shurikens receiving a 'boost', they managed to catch up to Chester, threatening to injure him
Chester has two choices now, he either knock those shurikens away with his daggers resulting in the loss of his momentum, decreasing his running speed, or let the shurikens hit and give him light injuries
With the skills that Mia had shown, Chester decisively chose the latter. He would rather let himself endure light injuries rather than be caught by her!
In the end, three shurikens landed on Chester's arms and back and he grimaces from the pain yet he did not stop moving from one tree to another in this wilderness
In fact, with the threat in his life, Chester started running even faster than before. He was giving it his best to flee!
However, he soon discovered that there was something wrong with his body. When he turned to look at the shuriken stuck in his right arm, he saw that its color was a bit off
Since Chester is a poison-type Mana Warrior, it's not hard for him to notice the thin layer of poison in those shurikens
That brat actually poisoned him and from what it feels like, it was a paralysis poison!
With Rezen valuing his life, he prepared some countermeasures against enemies that his pure might alone cannot defeat
Most of his shurikens were normal ones but some were coated with poison that he got from a monster that he defeated before
In his mind, he can use normal shurikens in the battle and hopefully catch the enemy off guard when he finally uses the poisonous ones
"Heh..." Rezen sneered
To the people that want to do him harm, especially the ones that wanted to kill him, he would not show any mercy!
After the poison took effect, Rezen threw some more shurikens again and this time, Chester did not let himself be poisoned again as he knocked those shurikens away using his daggers and that resulted in him being delayed
Not to mention, moving his body like that just promotes the spread of the paralysis poison
The shurikens that Rezen threw the second time are actually just normal ones and with his dual plan, he managed to catch up to his target
Rezen's foot kicked the tree branch that he landed on causing it to break and the momentum brought him just behind Chester
Mana instantly churned inside Rezen's stomach as he places his hand in front of him and made an 'O' shape with it
"[Water Style: Waterball!]"
Rezen spat out a ball of water and with how fast it was flying, the force behind it surely wouldn't be small
[Water Spray] offered greater firepower but its range is more limited. Since the enemy is still moving, there's a high chance that the [Water Spray] would not hit him
After all, Rezen's base power with [Blessed Mode] is just around 4,500 points while Chester has more than double of that
The [Waterball] is something that Chester should not let land on his body
Even if he has the power to block and turn the [Waterball] useless, at the end of the day, he is still a human
Most humans' base power grew stronger by having more mana while their physical strength wasn't that much
As such, Chester's body was superior compared to normal humans but is still not enough to receive a magic skill without grave consequence
"Damn brat" the man curses before he controlled his own mana and have them coat his feet a bit so that he could move faster to dodge that waterball
Seizing this chance, Rezen charged straight to his enemy while taking daggers from his side pouches and wielding them, ready to kill the opponent
However, his opponent was undeniably stronger than him and Chester's mana flowed into his own daggers
"[Poison Style: Acid!]"
Chester is sure that inflicting one wound alone is already enough for him to take this brat yet Rezen did something that he did not expect
While Rezen acted as if he would engage his foe in close combat, his footsteps suddenly halted as soon as he saw Chester ready to fight
What a joke! There is more than 2 times the difference in base power and Chester is a human with intellect and battle skills, how could Rezen actually fight him head-on?
Rezen just decided to do some things to delay Chester as he looked at Mia to deliver the finishing blow
He thought that Mia would unleash her power and kill Chester in one fell swoop yet the woman just stared back at him
"I told you to kill him, don't ask for my help" she said
By 'get him', Rezen thought that his work is to just delay Chester. He did not expect that it actually means that he has to kill the enemy and that caught him off guard
Mia's arrival reminded Chester of his current situation and he hurriedly run away again
Although he was poisoned, since Rezen's poison is from a low-level monster and he uses it in a crude manner, it would take more time before it could immobilize the entirety of Chester's body
