Now in present, the unique energy is called mana, scientist say that the mana was always there although it was outside of our galaxy when the astronauts breached the barrier mana got spread in our Galaxy too.
Many people also say that the barrier was set up by beings that came to earth years ago and when they thought that they have achieved their objective they left the 'barrier' as protection from outsiders but they are only assumptions.
