The moment Caleb and Stanley left, Yelena also left the restaurant but she did not follow them.
When she reached the hotel room her cell phone she forgot on the couch rang. She dropped her long chain handbag on the couch before she answered the line. "Hello Boss, shouldn't you have returned last night so what happened?" Bertina asked in a worried tone.
"Did you perhaps encounter a problem over there? Do you need me to call our people over there for assistance...,"
"I have found him!" Yelena who couldn't hide her excitement blurted to the confusion of Yelena. "Found him? Who?" Bertina asked standing up from the green couch she was sitting on.
"I have found Riley? I saw him!" Yelena relayed excitedly. Despite that he didn't recognise her, the fact that she found him was enough to make her happy for a long time.
"You have found Riley?" Bertina asked in shock. She could not believe Yelena's words and her next words showed it. "Boss, are you ok? Vampires don't get drunk so I won't ask whether you are drunk. Are you perhaps sleep talking that is why you are spewing nonsense?"
"I am serious Betty. I saw him. He was with me...,"
"Riley was dead thirty years ago so how could you say you saw him?" Bertina asked still not believing Yelena's words. "Even though you saw Riley, I am sure it is someone who looks like him and not the Riley you are talking about," Bertina continued in a bid to pull back her boss to reality.
"Haven't I told you that my Riley was never dead?" Yelena said with confidence not letting Bertina's words get to her. "I know you won't believe whatever I said over the phone so I will tell you all that happened when I return. I will even bring evidence that my Riley is still alive and well," Yelena maintained her confident tone.
Bertina decided to change the topic of their conversation listening to Yelena's rising pitch.
"So when are you returning?" Bertina asked as she sat back down on the couch.
"I am not sure so I ask that you coordinate everything in my absence," Yelena said. She disconnected the line before Bertina could ask her questions about why she wasn't returning.
The desperate Yelena freshened up and return to the sitting room. She did not get a wink of sleep the entire night because she had to keep an eye on what was happening in the room next door.
When it was about two hours to her departure, Yelena finally stood up from where she had been sitting the entire night and approach her bedroom.
She went into the bathroom only to come out a few minutes later. She couldn't afford to waste time in there and miss them leaving their room.
Yelena wore a red jumpsuit which fitted her perfectly as though the jumpsuit was specifically made for no one else but her. She wore her glittering diamond heels which shone brightly. She left the room with her luggage and handbag in her hands after she was done dressing up.
Yelena had her daily dosage of blood in a wine glass while waiting in the sitting room for her flight time to reach.
"Let's head to the airport now or we are gonna be late for our flight," Yelena's sharp ears pick up the words of those at the door.
A few minutes after those at the opposite door left, Yelena picked up her handbag and luggage and left the hotel room. Yelena went to the airport after booking out of the hotel.
Inside the plane, Yelena walked in the direction her seat was. Surprisingly, her seat happened to be the one beside Caleb.
Caleb frowned on raising his gaze to see the face of the lady who asked him to adjust so she could pass to her seat. "Are you stalking me again? What kind of crazy person are you that you would stalk...,"
"What are you talking about? This is an aeroplane and not your private jet so why would you think I am stalking you?" Yelena snapped pretending as though she didn't know what Caleb was talking about.
"Since you said you are not my lover whom I have been searching for that means you are not important to me so why would I waste my time stalking you?" Yelena said as she walked past him and went to her window seat. She sat down with her legs crossed.
"If you are attracted to me, you can just tell me instead of indirectly looking for means to make me talk to you. That's cheap of you," Yelena said sounding offended.
"Did you just say I am attracted to you?" Caleb asked rolling his eyes in disgust. "You must be out of your mind to think that I will get attracted to an insane being like you," Caleb said tilting his head sideways to avoid staring at her.
Yelena smiled secretly seeing that she had gotten what she wanted. She just need him to keep paying attention to her before she would succeed in getting what she truly wants.
If he doesn't recall their past then she will make him fall in love all over again with her. She knew achieving that with his current temperament won't be easy but she won't give up until she has reunited with the love of her life.
Just then Stanley sitting at the seat at their front turned and stare at her. Yelena winked at him with smiles on her face.
According to what Stanley told her in the restaurant the previous day, their flight was supposed to depart at 9:00 am. She deliberately booked her flight at the same time as theirs.
The only thing which was not planned was sitting close to him on the plane.
