In his youth, in his quest to gain the position of Commander, he blindly sought advancement, be it via the Dao Tower, Dawn Gathering, or Six Merits, some of his choices leaned towards pragmatism and haste. This led to him, initially Heaven's Chosen, becoming Commander and gaining access to a wealth of cultivation resources, yet always remaining stuck at the Tire-6 Power Realm, and eventually consuming all of his lifespan."
Owen Bertram felt a chill in his heart. Master Lane's reminder was very apt. But when faced with Master Lane, Mister Owen behaved like a rebellious child - save for the moment earlier when he was genuinely moved and wanted to express his thanks, only to be interrupted by Master Lane.
