Sodick couldn't bear to say more. General Brad sighed regretfully, "Your Excellency Gavin is an unparalleled loyal and brave warrior of the Empire!"
The excuse was carefully concocted by Owen Bertram. There are many terrible behemoths in the sea, the Ocean Devourer being one of the most notorious, and even now, the Red Clan has yet to successfully hunt one down. This behemoth has a unique characteristic – it seems to be able to "sniff out" precious treasures, so it always devours the ship carrying the most valuable treasures first when attacking a fleet.
The logical "story" dispelled General Brad's suspicions, and he asked, "Where are you now?"
Sodick replied with some confusion, "We are outside Nunes Port, where I sensed hostility – General, has the Lester people rebelled?"
Brad's suspicions lessened even more as Sodick reported the location that was one of the three counties which supported the Young Master.
"Bypass the port and head straight to Manta Port!"
