Lin Ronald stood still as the Emperor waited for every piece of skin on his body to bear the brunt of a hit. Only then did he speak up, "I hereby decree that the Imperial City Department take Lin Ronald into custody and strip him of his position as East Prison Town Commander."
"Moreover, the position of the Horizon Bureau's Commander has been vacant for a long time. I've given it my thought and found it fitting that my dear courtier, Abner Lane, take over. I hereby appoint Abner as the Commander of Horizon Bureau and task him with reorganizing the Bureau."
Abner received the imperial edict without showing any emotion, though he was inwardly irked. He knew the Emperor intended to protect Lin Ronald. To let this major incident pass so lightly wasn't going to sit well with him.
The emperor brushed them off, saying, "Alright, Uncle has vented his anger, let's not make a scene anymore. You may all disperse now. Owen Bertram and Kirk stay back."
