Owen Bertram thought to himself that it was somewhat similar to the imperial examinations in history during his previous life. Otis King noticed that the master had made up his mind, so he didn't want to stay anymore. As he walked out, he said, "I'll go back first. The refining of those large-scale magical instruments can't be done without me. If the master has any new ideas, please remember the hard work of our fellow elders and share them with us first."
Owen sent him off, and the old man hurried away with even more agility than a young man. Owen probably understood the mentality of these technical artificers: discussing new technologies was a matter of respecting Master Owen; inquiring about the Dragon and Snake List was a matter of neglecting one's duty as Owen.
When Owen came back, he happened to see David returning gracefully and forcefully, laden with murderous energy. In front of him, he raised his fist powerfully and said, "Master, I have completed the task!"
