Magpie landed on a bare cliff and quickly finished eating its meal. Still unsatisfied, it dived into the river again, catching another demon beast.
This time, it only ate half of it. Somehow, it caught the remaining half of the demon beast and flew towards the outpost with its wings flapping!
Owen Bertram was wondering what the magpie was up to when he saw it loosen its claws, dropping half of the demon beast with a thud at the door of the outpost!
Everyone in the Horizon Bureau looked at each other in disbelief: they all knew the strange bird, but it seemed to have grown bigger today.
What was it doing?
The magpie circled the sky and chirped a few times towards the outpost, then flew back to its own eagle's nest.
The eagle's nest had become a little cramped for the magpie, bumping into the rock as it turned around. Annoyed, it pecked at the stone wall, causing shards of rock to fly, expanding the nest by more than double.
