Seeing the trio of adventurers walk further away, Zell and Obsi stopped talking to one another and quickly caught up to them. They walked quietly through the forest for twenty minutes before anyone said anything.
"This is almost freaky." Marco said. "Normally we have to fight our way out, but I don't see any kind of monster anywhere."
"True." Daph said. "It seems our new friends are still under the divine protection of the gods."
"Yeah." Zell said nervously. "That must be it."
"Don't get used to it." Freedo said. "I have heard of blessings like this, they only last a day at max. So don't go getting yourself into danger tomorrow and expect the blessing to save you again."
"Freedo is right." Daph said. "You must never tempt the gods. They will not constantly bless you with their divine grace. My guess is they did it this time because you bravely ran out to fight the twelve goblins, knowing you were outnumbered and outmatched. They rewarded your bravery."
