Lia remained silent, making no response to Chase's heartfelt words. Despite that, the man was not affected by the lack of response from the woman. He then gave a sweet and affectionate kiss on Lia's forehead while he ruffled her hair before he finally stood up from the bed.
"Take your time with the breakfast. Chelsea-"
"Chelsea! Oh my gosh! Chelsea!" Lia gasped, finally remembering that she had a daughter. She wanted to get off the bed, but Chase stopped her and pushed her back onto the bed.
"I know. Leave our daughter to me. I will get her to school." Chase took the chance to give another kiss on Lia's cheek, "Let me have the chance to spend some time with our baby, too."
"Our baby..." Lia mimicked. She is still not getting used to it, obviously, as it has always been her daughter all along.
"Yes, our daughter. Chelsea is my responsibility too." The man stated. "You and Chelsea are my life now."
