"Guess what I want for Christmas?"
Adrian looked at Alex at once with his gentle and compassionate eyes. While the little girl stares at him with sparkling eyes, a playful smile, and a tilted-just-right chin. "From your parents?" He asked.
"No, from you."
"Uh... I don't know, Alex." He said as he tried to think of all the things his best friend might want. "Maybe a new game?"
"Nooooo!" Alex said. "Guess again.
"Story books?"
"Wrong!"
"Scooter? Bicycle?"
"No. It's not stuff."
"To play in a lot of snow?" Adrian asked, remembering his best friend loved snow when they watched a movie before.
"Nope."
"Well, Alex, if you want me to actually be able to give it to you, you'll have to tell me what it is."
Grinning widely, Alex circled her arms around Adrian's neck. "I want you to always be by my side."
