"Celia! Over here!"
Celia saw Valeiry waving her arm. Heading to the second last row, she saw Sandra with tinted cheeks.
"What happened to her?"
Celia quickly gave her order to the waiter as he went down from the second floor. The lights and music from the club made the atmosphere even wilder as people grind each other on the dance floor. Taking her cup, Valeiry leaned up as men from other tables stared at her with lusts in their eyes.
Being the middle of their group, Celia could only shake her head and watch their youngest friend drowning her cup of alcohol.
"Her boyfriend cheated on her with her cousin then found that her cousin was pregnant with his child. So, she dumped that bastard before he could. But the heartbreak already happened, and that man tried to ask her for forgiveness this morning."
"Didn't they break up a month ago?"
"Yeah, but that trash appeared in front of her company and kneeled on the public then made a drama of a heartbroken guy." Valeiry shook her head as her hair followed. "Good thing, I was there to pick her up and revealed his disgusting attitude behind the scenes. Heh, the crowd immediately threw all kinds of stuff at that trash, and I swiftly saved my friend."
"Seems like she had a rough day."
"It's not only me." Sandra looked up and smiled cheekily to Valeiry "The young master of Garblev took an interest in our beautiful Valeiry."
Celia choked on her drink as Valeiry glared at the laughing Sandra.
"No way… San, are you talking about Joshua Garblev? The young and infamous bachelorette who has the medicine industry in the palm of his hands?"
"Yes, the one and only Mr. Joshua Garblev. Say, Val, when your wedding comes, will you let us be your bridesmaid—"
"Wedding?! Huh! In your dreams! Who told you that I'm also interested in that pimp guy!"
Sandra and Celia look at each other at their friend's sudden outburst. They laughed at her while Valeiry complained under her breath.
A seat behind the girls were the rumoured famous businessmen who conquered the business at a young age. Sitting around the table, the topic of their subject just happened to sit in front of their table.
"I heard from one of the birds that Josh had taken a liking to a woman."
David, a famous doctor who seeks throughout the medical, glances sneakily at the man who's sitting quietly.
"Really? I thought he was gay since he never looks at a woman. I think Josh's taste is quite different from men's."
"What are you trying to say? Don't say something that can easily mislead people to think different, duffus."
Joshua knocked Alvin's head while rubbing the pain away. Anderson sat quietly at the corner and smelt the familiar scent he hadn't forgotten for a long time. He was trying to figure out when David cut him off from thinking.
"Is Old Madam Jones doing well?"
"Why do you ask?"
"We saw the video that happened at the mall while waiting for you. It went viral today. Also, the woman who stepped up to save your grandma was beautiful, and people started to call her 'goddess Elly.'"
"Do you think she's stunning?"
"Even I think she is, even if her back faced the camera most of the time but let's just say it, no woman has a lovely back unless they're beautiful."
Anderson listened to his friend's discussion before asking David for the video. Setting the phone on the table, the group of men rewatched the video once again, and an older woman can be seen being pushed by female staff.
"Who are those two women behind the staff?"
David sensed his friends' cold voice and knew another family would suffer once again.
"The slightly older woman is the wife of Elder Gu, Madame Debby and her daughter, the third lady of the Gu family, Melly."
Anderson pulled his phone out and contacted his subordinate to give instructions. His friends sigh and shake their heads as they feel bad for the family who will have a difficult day to live. Well, who told them to bully a member of the Jones? The Gu's have only the two women to blame for their actions.
Suddenly, Joshua smirked and stood up as he walked towards the table in front of them. Watching him with a smirk sent shivers to David and the others.
"Hey, beautiful. What are you doing out here all alone? I thought you had an appointment with your friends. Who knew that we would be going to the same bar?'
Valeiry was shocked to see the person that she's been running away from since last week. Watching him saying cheesy lines, she couldn't help but shuffle away from him.
"You—why-why are you here?!"
Joshua smirked and sat beside her as he grabbed her finger and played with it.
"Why not? I can't come here. Well, to pop your bubble, my friend owned this bar, so I can come here every time I wanted."
David and Alvin shook their head as they felt bad for the girl who caught their friend's interest. They knew him so well: once something caught Joshua's interest, he would not rest until he had it within his grasp. Looking back at their table, they saw that Anderson was gone. Looking around, they could only see his back as he ascended down the stairs.
"What good friends are they referring to? They all left, and god knows what they're doing."
"Were all singles and well die as singles."
The two hang their shoulders to each other and watch the ceiling like it was something interesting.
