Bella knew that this question would be coming from the start yet she still didn't have a good response yet. She wasn't lying when she told Jayce that other mages wouldn't be able to speak out against her.
However, the Church was a separate case entirely. Unlike mages who use their political and financial power to harass other mages, the Church doesn't take petty actions. They either leave it alone or deal with the problem in one swift motion with the power of God behind them.
"While I was fighting Unknown, I found my disciple barely alive. Using that moment, Unknown fled and I didn't chase after them," Bella finally said.
