"Why the hell are you sitting next to me?" Amaya whispered with annoyance.
It was clear that she enjoyed her solitude in the back and didn't enjoy someone coming and bugging her.
"Because I'm your bodyguard," Jayce whispered back, keeping his eyes forward.
"You really think someone is going to attack me in the middle of class?" She questioned in a low tone with a ridiculed grin. "There must be something wrong with your head."
Jayce didn't reply as he glanced around the classroom. Although they were being subtle about it, he could feel the students' gazes on him. His conversation with the Headmistress replayed in his mind.
"Do you usually have school in the middle of summer?"
Reopening the game on her phone, she continued where she left off.
