Following the guild leader, the four of them passed through the town enchantments. Ashley's and Britney's eyes widened in amazement as a beautiful town appeared before them.
Jayce and Bella didn't have the same reaction, one having seen it already and the other having seen more impressive towns during her travels, respectively.
Making their way to the center where the guild hall was located, many villagers gave their respects to the guild leader. Some of them extended that hospitality to the rest of the group and others gave them wary glares.
With how young she was, Ashley didn't understand the subtle, hostile hints, saying hello to anyone who got close to the group while taking in the sights with childish excitement.
Britney was of the same manner, albeit in a much more controlled fashion. While Ashley was more fascinated by the architecture and people, Briteny was more focused on the enchantments layered throughout the town.
