Similarly to Jayce who went straight back to the Academy after his visit, Bella was also on the campus. Although she had told Jayce she would stay home and rest some more, she couldn't hold herself back anymore.
Jayce has been her disciple for over three months and during that time, she had gotten to know him. Yet, while she was able to get a grasp on his personality, she didn't know a single thing about his past.
He kept it under lock and key and she respected that. If he didn't want to tell, then that was his decision.
However, now it was different.
There was the fact that he had almost died, that large wave of energy that scarred the Academy, and the fact that it belonged to Unknown, and his half-human situation. Although she hadn't said anything, she had noticed the glaring difference between Jayce and his shadow.
