Yuko didn't know what was happening. Just moments ago, she was watching the broadcast for the tournament, internally cheering for Jayce and then becoming worried as she saw the state he was in after escaping the lightning tornado.
She didn't know how he was able to break apart the tornado but she began to relax as she watched him deliver the final blow. Yuko felt happy that Jayce was able to obtain first place just as he had been hoping for but she also felt... disheartened.
'He's growing so fast,' She thought with a bitter smile.
As his friend, she should be feeling proud that he was able to reach such a height in only half a year. Yet, at the same time, she felt that it might have been better if he hadn't.
She still remembered back when he first joined the Academy. His body was lacking, he didn't possess any magic, and he had no knowledge of the supernatural, he was a fish out of water.
