"That matters not. What does matter is that I do know and you are putting my granddaughter in harm's way." The phone responded as the old man stood up.
Before Jayce could react, the old man was suddenly in front of him as he reached down and grabbed his wrist.
"No man can withstand the influence of a curse, especially of one so strong, yet here you are." He said as he looked at the tattoo embedded in Jayce's palm.
Yanking his hand out of the guild leader's grasp, he stepped back.
'Did he notice it back then?' Jayce thought as he remembered he used Nightmare at the last second during their fight.
'If that's true, that means he's probably been keeping an eye on me since I've been here.'
'If he wanted me dead, he could have just killed me when I was still recovering. He wants something from me.'
