Dashing at the man, Jayce threw a punch which was easily deflected to the side with the katana.
Quickly lifting the katana, he swiped it down, aiming for Jayce's exposed flank.
Seeing where the sword would strike, Jayce bent his body to the side, avoiding the blade and throwing a right hook.
The man easily avoided the hook by taking a step back, then raising his katana horizontally to his chest, he trusted.
Jayce used the attack to close the gap as he put the back end of the gauntlet against the sword, causing sparks to fly as his gauntlet dragged against the blade.
Just as Jayce thought he had the opportunity to get the first clean hit in, something smashed into his chin, propelling his head straight up.
'He hit me with the hilt?' Jayce thought as he stared at the katana's handle before a foot slammed into his stomach.
