"Whatever you say," Jayce replied.
"Since there's still some time before they have to go to bed." Ms. Cook said as she grabbed Jayce's shoulder and turned toward the children. "My friend here said he would play with all of you until bedtime.
The kids ceased what they were doing as they looked at Jayce.
Their eyes widened in excitement as they all charged at him. Jayce's expression shifted into one of betrayal as the energetic children dragged him away.
'How could you throw me under the bus?'
In response, Ms.Cook waved her hand with a smile.
'Your sacrifice will not be in vain.'
Once Jayce had crossed the designated 'play area' threshold, the kids stopped holding back and all jumped on Jayce simultaneously.
Most people would have been pulled down to the floor in the first few seconds, Jayce wasn't like most people.
