Growing up, Jayce didn't have many friends. When he wasn't at school, he was either working or taking care of his sister. He never had the time to make friends, study, or have a hobby as he was always busy.
It wasn't until he met Ryan in his freshman year that he ended up having a friend for the first time.
Ryan had asked him a random question during their free time, something along the lines of 'Do you have an extra pencil I could borrow, I lost mine.'
It was so long ago that he couldn't remember exactly what it was.
It was a question that he could have asked any other student, but he asked Jayce.
After that, Ryan would bother him between classes and during lunch, yet it never evolved past that.
But that all changed when Jayce was dragged into the bathroom by a group of bullies.
