'A quest was received? And why does the additional quest have question marks? But the most important thing is the quest failure, will I really die for not completing it?' Hundreds of questions formed in his mind.
While thinking about the notification, time had resumed and the lycanthrope finished healing the damage done to its neck.
It was fuming with rage just thinking how he was humiliated by a mere human.
In a fit of rage, the lycanthrope launched itself at Jayce with the intent of eating half of his body in a single bite.
Not even realizing that the human had miraculously regained his limbs.
"Shut up, mutt." With a voice full of hate, using his new hand, Jayce grabbed and slammed the beast's mouth shut, destroying all of its canine teeth and completely stopping the creature from moving.
The beast was completely caught off guard by Jayce's actions.
Just seconds ago the human was on the brink of death but now he is getting overpowered by that weak human.
The beast looked into the boy's now crimson irises, sending shivers down its spine. Its animal instincts were telling it that if it didn't get out of his grip, he would die.
Extending its claws from its right hand and aiming at the human's arm, only for the claws to completely shatter upon contact.
While keeping the lycanthrope's mouth closed he glanced at the fear meter.
[Target's Fear: 61%]
Jayce watched as the bar slowly rose with each passing second.
Running out of ideas, the creature gripped Jayce's arm with both hands to force his hand away, the beast's muscles started to bulge intensely as it tried to pull his arm away, but this didn't even make Jayce flinch.
"Who gave you permission to touch me with those filthy hands?" Grabbing one of its hands that was latched on his arm, he gave it a slight pull.
But this was enough for the entire lycanthrope's arm to be ripped off.
Blood gushed out of its body as it tried to scream but was unable to with Jayce holding his mouth closed.
As a last-ditch effort, the beast extended its claws from its left hand and swung them towards its snout.
Cutting it in half and finally free from Jayce's grasp it went on all threes and headed for the front door. Thinking that it was finally free from the human, it started to feel some hope.
Its hope only lasted a second as Jayce appeared in front of it, wrapping his hand around its head, stopping it in its tracks, and whispering into its ears.
"Did you honestly think you would leave this place alive?"
A sound pinged inside Jayce's mind as messages appeared.

Ignoring the message that appeared, Jayce tightened his hand around its head. He kept going until he crushed its skull completely.

Seeing that the system registered that the creature was dead, Jayce dropped its lifeless body and turned his attention to the quest.
Rereading the quest details, something felt off to Jayce. 'Why was there a time limit in the first place?' As if answering his question, a message appeared, but not the one he expected.
[Backlash Will Now Commence]
An immense amount of pain started to spread through his body, feeling as if his body was tearing itself apart.
Not being able to handle the pain, Jayce lost consciousness as his body hit the floor.

(Somewhere in the middle of the forest.)
"Was that the last of them?" Asked a large black male.
Standing at 6"8 (203 cm), he wore a gray tank top that showed off the definition of his muscles, with camo pants and combat boots.
A gigantic great sword, weighing at least 250 lbs (113 kg) was stuck in the earth next to him.
"No headmaster, one of them was able to escape from us and headed towards town. I have already dispatched a student to take care of it." A feminine voice responded.
"Let's hope she can deal with it before it finds a victim." The headmaster sighed, the situation was strange in itself.
"Call the clean-up team to deal with this mess."
"Yes, headmaster."
'Why was there such a large lycanthrope pack so close to a human town?' No matter how hard he thought about it, he couldn't find an answer.
Picking up the greatsword with one hand and resting it on his shoulder, he decided to head back.
Leaving hundreds of lycanthrope corpses behind him.
