When someone is isolated from the world for years it becomes challenging for that person to communicate with different people across the globe. In the capital of Olycia, Bull Harbour there is a high school girl that suffers from poor communication. The girl gives off the impression that she's a shy and timid person. She has blonde hair with a ponytail, blue eyes with an eye patch covering the right eye, and wore her standard red and white uniform. She's been going to school for two years and so far hasn't made any friends. Most people keep their distance from her. Every day at school felt like hell for her. Often she wonders why her father bothers to bring her to school while she can be tutored at home.
When she arrived home from school she confronted her father. "Dad I don't want to go to school anymore. I get that you want me to socialize but I'm really not learning anything there. The atmosphere is too tense around me to concentrate. I want to be tutored again" said the girl desperately.
Her father replied "Alisa I am only going to say this once. No more tutors. You will go to school like a normal girl, make friends and learn how to deal with the parasites called people" said the girl's father. Alisa nodded and took the elevator to her room. Her bedroom was the only room on the fourth floor beside the arcade room. Alisa opened the door to her room and was surprised when something white jumped on her face and started biting off her eye patch. She took a closer look and saw that it was just her puppy. Her puppy was filled with fur from head to toe. One of the dog's eyes was gouged out so he too only had one eye. A Maltese dog that got a big scar on its nose.
"That's odd. Ray how did you get into my room. You should be in your doghouse not my room" said Alisa.
Woof! Woof! Woof!
Alisa and her dog sat around a computer desk and watched some videos on the internet together. While watching a video about gymnastics a new message arrived in her email. She checked to see what it was and realized it wasn't for her. She slapped both her cheeks upset with herself. "This is my father's email. I better switch to mine. I'd hate to be nosy" said Alisa. Before Alisa switched her email account she read the subject of the new email. "The Golden Circle" she read
Woof! Woof!
"I can't ask dad that. He'll be mad if I found out I have his email on my computer. I'll just keep this secret. He'll see the message himself eventually" replied Alisa. Alisa and her dog spent the rest of their day watching videos of sports and gymnastics. The next day was the last day of school. Alisa overslept so her dog barked loudly in her ears the moment he wakes up. It's always a habit for Ray to wake up Alisa when he's up and running. "Morning Ray, this is the last day of school thankfully. I'll be getting my report card today. Not sure how good I did this semester" said Alisa nervously.
Thirty minutes after waking up Alisa rushed to school before class started. When she arrived she saw that a boy was occupying her seat. She thought about asking the person to move but he looks involved in a conversation at the moment. Alisa sighed and sat in an empty seat waiting for the boy to get up. "Hopefully he doesn't take too long," said Alisa. Minutes later a teacher walked in telling everyone to take their seats. The boy still sat in Alisa's seat even when the teacher started to teach.
It made Alisa worry if she'll ever get her spot back. She was fortunate of having a window seat so she doesn't want to simply give it up. "I'll ask him during lunch break," thought Alisa. She waited patiently until lunch break arrived. She walked up to the boy and asked "Charles, you are on my chair. Wait no I mean that seat you're on. I would like it back please?"
"What the hell! That's not what I was going to say. Why did I break down at the last second?" Alisa shouted in her mind. The boy giggled and so did plenty of other classmates. "I see, it's the last day of school so you're trying to build up some courage. Anyways get lost, I like this seat" said the boy.
Alisa nodded and went back to the seat she sat in previously. "The weak are prey to the strong. Something all creatures have in common. By instinct alone, we want to look down on everyone and say I'm better than you. You have a choice to be strong or to be weak. That's how I feel" She remembered her father's words loud and clear. For the rest of the day, Alisa couldn't stop thinking about her favorite spot being taken. When school was over Alisa quickly headed home to see her one and only friend Ray. She got changed into a green shirt, blue skirt and decided to give Ray an evening stroll. She placed her report card on her father's desk so that he wouldn't miss it before heading out.
During their walk, Ray jumped on top of Alisa's head and barked. "Ray! You can't be that lazy" said Alisa. The dog stayed on her head as they continued their evening walk around Bull Harbour. While they were walking they bumped into four of Alisa's classmates.
They looked at Alisa surprised. Ray was on top of Alisa wiggling his tail back and forth. She immediately regretted the decision of leaving the house. "For years I've been isolated from the outside world. I never imagined things like this could happen. So unexpected" said Alisa softly. This is the first time it occur to her that she could meet her classmates outside of school. Deep down she thought she'll only see schoolmates in school. "Dad should have let me out more as a kid" sighed Alisa.
The boys surrounded Alisa. One touched her eye patch while the other three lift Ray off of Alisa. At first glance they were a little impressed by the dog but once they took a closer look. Ray had only one eye and he has a big scar on his nose. The boys were disappointed and said "Damn, I doubt we could sell this"
"No kidding, look how ugly it looks," said another boy.
The blood inside Alisa started to boil. A strong headache slapped her out of nowhere and everything felt like magma to her. The air around her, the boy's touch, and her clothing. One of Alisa's classmates thought it would be funny to drop the dog harshly on the ground in front of Alisa. Little do they know that triggered something inside the pissed-off girl.
They picked Ray from off the floor then threw him harshly on the ground again. They looked Alisa straight in the eye while doing so too. "How pathetic can one person be? Aren't you going to do something about your dog!? Does being rich make you a dumbass?" the boys asked.
"Ah!"
"How do they know I'm loaded? I tried my best to hide it" Alisa said to herself.
"Answer me this. Do you guys hate me because of my personality or my pocket? I need to know" said Alisa curiously. The boys looked at each other before replying "Both, you're like an alien to us"
Alisa nodded and asked for her dog. "No, not yet. I still feel like hurting this ugly mutt some more" said the boys. Alisa's patience ran out. The moment she heard Ray's scream she snapped. Her eyes changed from blue to red as did her expression. She became a different person altogether. She quickly walked up to the boy holding Ray and grabbed him.
"How dare you Bitβ"
The boy's word was cut off by Alisa's punch to the face. The boy was sent flying two whole meters before he finally hit the ground. "There's no saving you four. You hurt my Ray and that's the death sentence right there" said Alisa clinging her first. The boys were beyond surprised by what just happened. Their heart was close to stopping just from being near it. The boy Alisa punched was either knocked out cold or dead. No one had the balls to move forward and check if he's alive. Her aura changed from peaceful to violent. The boys could feel her bloodlust radiating. They went on their knees and begged Alisa for forgiveness. The punch she displayed showed them the harsh reality that they could die if they don't start groveling.
"She's a totally different person now. Is it because he hurt her pet" one boy wondered.
"Damn it! This wasn't supposed to happen" said another.
Alisa walked up to them clinging her fist tightly. She pummelled the three boys until their faces were black and blue. They cried for mercy but Alisa didn't give any. By the time she finished the boys had to call an ambulance. Ray ran up to Alisa and started licking her feet. Woof! Woof! Woof!
Alisa's eye color changed from red to her normal blue. She held Ray in her hands and squeezed him tightly in her arms. "Let's go home, Ray. I don't want you to get hurt again" said Alisa sadly. The falls that Ray endured broke one of his legs. Alisa tried to leave the area immediately but she got surrounded by strangers who witnessed the incident. Everyone began questioning her about her physique and reason for hurting the boys. "Leave me be," she said. Alisa carried Ray home in her arms. When she arrived Alisa was greeted by her father Ronald. He saw the injured Ray in his daughter's arms and immediately sent him to his butler. "Ray shouldn't be here. He should recover at a nearby vet" said Ronald.
Alisa told Ronald what happened on her evening walk. She couldn't understand why they would hurt a dog. "It's a classic bully move. They destroy something you love to establish dominance. Don't think too deep about it. If you give me the name of those crooks I can easily ruin their lives if you want me to" said Ronald. Alisa rejected the offer. Ruining someone's life isn't her cup of tea. Ronald proceeded to lecture Alisa about her report card.
"You got straight A's as expected. You are understanding what's being taught after all" said Ronald relieved.
"No dad, Mr. Harley taught me up to university level. High school is more likely to bring me down than lift me up" said Alisa. She bowed her head and begged her father not to go to school. "You saw how messed up my classmates are. They were cruel enough to injure Ray for no reason whatsoever" said Alisa. Her father gave it some thought before replying. "Hutus High is not the real ordeal for you. It's your personality. I am partly to blame since I isolated you from the world for over ten years. I'd love to see you toughen up a bit first before I do what you want" said Ronald.
Alisa jumped in her father's arms and said "I can be tough. My body sent those boys to the hospital after all". Ronald was shocked to hear what she said. He asked what she meant by sending the boys to the hospital. "Someone else took over my body when I saw Ray got hurt. My insides felt hot and everything was clouded. It felt like I was at the backseat watching someone I pummelling the boy's faces," said Alisa.
"Hmm, you were conscious of her actions this time. You are improving then" said Ronald.
