I am levitated midair, the ground crumbles and the sky breaks. The island shakes, falling into pieces like crumbled cookies. I've finally break free of the system, I am finally truelly, free. From those invisible chains and invisible locks, limitating my ever growing power.
So, how do I end up like this
let's take it to the very first
The beggining of my own existence...
I awoke in the middle of a plain. The sky was as blue as ever, and the horizon stretched infinitely across the skyline. Such amazing view, such horrifying sight. I didn't remember much, my name, my story, my family. All I know is that I ended up here, for any goddamn cause or reason. The only thing I remember was my name, Hero. And aside from that, it all remains a mystery, maybe someday I will remember the forgotten past, but now I needed to plan my future. My instinct tells me to get ready for the night, for that it will get real nasty when darkness rises. I got a book and quill in my pocket written by someone called Notch, who of course, I failed to remember. I guess he must've put that there for me. I opened the leather pages, and what enrolled into my eyes, is pages and pages of basic crafting recipe. I held one close to my eyes, and started reading, learning the recipes at the same time, gathering as much resources as I could. I got some apples, wood, berries as well as some wool and meat from a herd lamb that I've just slain. The other thing I got is a crafting table beside me, with some basic equipment for me to create some tools. I carved the wood with the mini saw on the table and tied them against a stick with vines to create some basic wooden tools such as a wooden axe, wooden sword and wooden pickaxe.
According to the book, I needed to mine, and that's what I did, I mine some stones before upgrading my tools with some stone equipment. As the sun sets by the horizon, I collect all my tools, food, equipment, dug a hole near the mountain side, hid in and continue to mine, and it was not long after I hit a cave… "Wow, a cave system down here." I exclaimed as light up my torches, chasing off the darkness. And that's where I encounter my first ever monster, a zombie walked towards me growling, with his arms stretched far trying to reach me, baring his fangs. I took out my stone sword and hit him, once, twice, thrice and finally the man was down. This was my first encounter, but somehow I am calm enough to fight off, as if it was within my genes. Suddenly I felt like my whole life was scripted, as I mine deeper and deeper down the mines, questions flooded my head. Who am I? Where am I? What am I? At some point, I am too tired to think or mine. I take out some wool, line up some sticks and wood planks behind it and call it a bed. I created a furnace, threw in the food and fuel, before hitting the shack. A dream, or so I call it reality. I heard someone screaming, I opened my eyes, instead of the cold damp caves, I was in a field, a kid was chasing another kid, as they screamed frantically. They seem awfully familiar, are they twins? Wait, what did one of them call the other? Notch? Wait isn't Notch the dude that gave me the book. Wait, what. Why is it all dark suddenly? Where am I. Somebody, anybody. Hel—
I awoke. Beads of sweat were rolling down my cheek. The torches are all put out, the furnace wasn't lit. It was pure darkness. I sat up from the bed, scratching my head, as pain wrecks through my cells. I was about to reach for another torch when I heard something, creeping. The footsteps of a being crawling through the stone floor of the cave, creating crackling noises as it approaches. At a split-second, it went dead silent, before the trumpet of the devils rang at my eardrums. Ttttttttsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss---------- My instinct tells me to back up, with the sword in my hand, I lit up a torch before scanning the area for the monster. I felt like choking, the pressure was crushing my lungs, yet I felt no heartbeat, or blood rushing through my veins and to my brains. Just pure fear, scared. As I looked aside and drew my attention away for a split-second, something came to light. A green furry creature, with hollow eyes and a painful expression, no arms and four root like legs, crawling towards me slowly but surely. I look at it, in confusion as is approaches. As it got closer, I struck it once, but instead like the zombie, it stood still, and started to grow larger and larger, with white smoke rushing out of its hollow eyes and mouth, and the symphony of doom plays once more. This time louder, clearer. TTttttttttttssssssssssssssssss------ Before I could react, it exploded, right in front of me. The shock wave itself was strong enough to send me back flying before hitting one of the walls. My eardrums were ringing like crazy as if trillions of bells were rung one at a time while my visions were beyond blurriness. A strong pain aches from my chest, I must've broke my collarbone or two. I tried to stand up as I lean myself towards the wall. Then I found something different. I can't feel my legs. So do one of my arms. I looked down at my body, and screamed in fear. As the echoes bounced through the cave walls and ceiling creating a high-pitched shriek, I screamed once more, this time out of pain.
My legs were blasted off, revealing the mushy flesh as blood gushes out of the wound, dying the floor red, like a pool of spilled drinks. My arms were blasted apart, dark crisp from the heat created, with bones poking out from the corner like termites. I was about to scream again, then that's when I realize something. The flesh, the blood, no the cells. They are reconstructing. I looked as if every piece of me was reconnected and re linked once again, and soon enough, my body was once again, like nothing had never happened. Everything is gone, so is the pain. My mind was blanked, what is going on. Is this world even real? What am I? Anxiety and disgust gushes through my thoughts, and what comes with it, is the urge to eat, to consume. I scrambled towards the furnace and took out the lamb chops that I've cooked earlier before and finished it in two chomp.
After replenish my energy, I decided to take a break from the fear and pain I've experience by investigating at the crater created by the explosion of the monster. It has created a huge hole, as I jump down the crate to search for it's remain for better understanding, I saw a small layer of powder covering the bottom layer of the crater. I took out a wooden container that I've crafted earlier to hold food supplies and carefully gather up the powder, but what I didn't realize is that every action I make, every breath I take, is being watched.
My day of being locked up and chained like a lab rat had just begun.
