Angeline glanced around the beachfront while walking with her siblings from looking at her husband. Children have fun playing in the soil. And a few couples are cuddling in the shade of palm trees facing the sunrise.
Angeline felt jealous of the couple's sweetness that had everyday life compared to hers. And most of all, no shortcomings in looking at the sun rising.
"Oh, go ahead," Angeline said upon letting go of Ashley's hand. "I'll follow you," she added and bent at her feet where her slippers were slightly submerged into the grain of sand. She took off her slippers and buried her feet in the sand, remembering fond memories of when she was little and playing with Stefanie making any shape in the wet sand. But those were the days when she did not know what an entity she was at present.
Though she found solace at the seaside in her heart, the inexplicable sorrow enveloped her soul with intense emptiness in the corner of it.
