My name is Lieza Saga, I'm one of the few survivors when the Hoshoku attacked, I was only ten when the first wave of Hoshoku appeared back in 2120. I have a twin sister named Glacia Saga, our parents were working in the Antarctic as scientists, we were lucky enough to be there along with a few selected elite scientists from Japan, Russia, Germany, US, and UK, we were well protected by the countries military but that didn't take long for the Hoshoku to attack us. Before the attack in the Antarctica happened, me and my sister was supposed to return to main land with a few soldiers along side a few scientists however, the plane was attacked resulting to a crash landing into an inhabited island, my sister and I survived together with a female officer. The three of us survived for ten years until we saw an aircraft carrier, however, once we boarded the carrier we noticed something strange, there's no people on board, the ship was just floating in the ocean, it was too massive for the three of us to investigate together so we decided to split up, my sister investigated the storage as well as dining area, Miss Yae the Japanese officer explored the hangar as well as the bridge, while I decided to investigate the quarters. After we finished investigating the carrier we decided it's best to just go back to the island but when we returned outside, the island is no where to be seen, the boat we made is nowhere to be seen, I looked at Miss Yae but she's just as surprised as I am, Glacia hid behind me holding my arm as she stared in the ocean with a terrified look in her eyes.
"This can't be right," Miss Yae said as she look at the empty deck.
"What do you mean Miss Yae?" I looked up at her and she pointed to the empty deck.
"Aren't there supposed to be an aircraft in the deck all the time?" Glacia asked her and she nodded.
"Yes, it should have jets in the deck as well as in the hangar but I can't find anything," she said. " I'm going to go back inside and see what I missed."
Just before she entered the door a naked young girl in her twenties with a long greyish hair in ponytail stood in there with her hand on the doorway, startling Miss Yae making her fall on her butt. The girl looked at Miss Yae with confusion as she offered her hand.
"Are you okay? You're not hurt are you?" She asked as she keep reaching out for her hand.
"Um thank you," Miss Yae took the girl's hand and the girl pulled her up.
"So, you're the only survivors eh?" She asked as she approached me and Glacia.
"What do you mean?" I asked her being surprised and filled with worry.
"You don't know?" She sighed and walked towards the door then she looked back at us. "Follow me inside please, I'll show you."
The three of us exchanged looks before following the girl inside.
"What happened? What do you mean we're the only survivors?" Glacia asked in frustration as she balled her fists, I know my sister when she's anxious and her behavior of anxiety is showing.
"I'll tell you when we get inside the dinning hall," she said with a soothing voice and it easily calmed down my sister which surprised me. "Don't be surprised, I'm just following orders from the Antarctic Base, I'm more surprised that you survived for ten years in that island."
"Wait what do you mean? Are there any people in the Antarctic Lab until now?" I asked walking beside her then my stomach growled making me blush.
Miss Yae and Glacia giggled softly at the sound of my stomach but the girl in front of us looked at me with a serious face, she looks really worried.
"What did you eat on that island?" She asked quickly.
"Um fish, rabbits, and bird eggs? Why?" I answered her backing up a bit but she closes the distance studying my face.
"Tell me, did you eat properly?" She anxiously asked and I looked at Glacia but she's as confused as I am.
Miss Yae walked up to us and created a gap between us before she answered her herself.
"We did eat fruits as well but there's not much food there so we had to make do with whatever we can find," she answered.
"I understand that but it must mean your mind is clearly blank due to lack of nutrients," she sighed softly before going into the kitchen. "Don't worry, I'll be making food for the three of you, it's going to be a long journey back to the HQ."
"What HQ?" the three of us asked her in unison but she didn't answer.
Since she didn't answer we decided to ask her later, but when we smelled the aroma of a freshly cooked meal our stomach growled in unison but we just smiled and giggled. It has been a while since we last ate something fresh cooked meal, we survived with nothing more than camp fires and poorly cooked meal, we couldn't even drink purified water. After a few moments the girl returned to us with a full course of meal designated for the three of us, but having thought to have good manners in the dinning we decided to take it slow, the girl sat beside me with her own meal. The four of us ate until we are full and since dinner is finished, we decided it's time for some explanation.
"Alright, who are you exactly?" Miss Yae looked at her with a calm expression.
"Oh me? My name is Ford, I'm with the GDF also known as Global Defense Force, you boarded me when I was asleep and I have to say, you three have some nerves touching a girl's delicate body," she smirked as she cleaned the table while answering.
"What do you mean your name is Ford? What's the rest of your name?" Miss Yae asked as Ford sat back down after putting the trays on the other table.
"Ford S Eight, that's my name," she winked at her as she rests her elbow on the table to hold her cheek.
"What's the S?" I asked her. "And why are you the only one in her? Aren't carriers supposed to have a lot of people?"
"I'm not used having people touching my body." she sighed softly with a pouting face.
"What do you mean? You're not making any sense just tell us who you are and why are you saying those nonsense." Glacia sighed having another anxiety.
"My name is Ford Seven Eight, and I'm referring to the ship as my body, I'm what you call a Gift, I woke up in this Aircraft Carrier alone about ten years ago, and all I know is that I have orders to find the three last survivors and to safely deliver them to the main land so that they can start their training to be the Orders, you three are called the Orders by the way. Each Order will decide where they want to command, you can choose the Sky, the Land or the Sea, right now there's only four Mains, the Mains is what you call the Mainlands, were heading to First Main or HQ as the humans called it," she sighed after finishing the long explanation.
"So what you are saying is, you're not a human but you're a ship?!" I groaned having a headache from the lesson.
"Obviously!" She smiled and giggled as she petted my head.
"This doesn't make any sense, what happened to the facility in the Antarctic?" Glacia sobbed and I can tell she's worried about our parents but we both know they already died.
"I'm sorry Glacia, I'm sure you'll be fine, we'll take care of you, we are your Gifts and we won't let anything hurt you," Ford wrapped her arms around Glacia which reminds me of how mom use to calm her down.
I know deep down Glacia is still young, we're only twenty years old anyway.
"Alright Ford, please take us to the HQ," Miss Yae hold her head in frustration, I know she's worried about our parents as well, they were best of friends, she's became our auntie this past ten years.
"Well we are already traveling to the HQ," she said. "Lightning and Cat should be here any second now to provide escort."
"That's good to know, as soon as we get to this HQ I would like to have a rest," Miss Yae said.
