Fabian's scream wasn't left unnoticed. All the women from the carriage heard his voices clearly. Claudia came out of the carriage with Gloria and Sophie in tow. As they came out, they saw that the fire that they had lit was burning just fine. But the man that they had left with the fire was no way to be seen.
"Where the hell is he?" Claudia said while looking for Fabian.
"Mother I think he near the skeleton that we had found earlier," Gloria said.
"What is he doing there? Mother, didn't you command him to stay here and guard the carriage?" Sophie inquired.
"Yes, I did," Claudia mumbled.
"Mother what should we do now? From his screaming, it is evident he is in great pain." Sophie asked.
"We should help him. Let's go, mother." Gloria said.
"Are you insane? You want me to go to a forest at this time of night? There could be dangerous animals there." Claudia said.
"Well, we cannot abandon him. He has helped us greatly all this time. We cannot do that to him." Gloria protested.
