Chapter 10 - Chapter-10<Von De Drac Ulaspas-1>

Fabian sat there gawking at the blue color cloud. He didn't know what was that cloud. But what he did know was the fact that he could move. He wanted to move away from this place. But somehow his body was refusing to move. It was like he was standing in front of great danger and somehow his body was paralyzed in fear.

Soon that blue color gas started gathering at one point. As that happened, the blue color cloud started taking shape. And soon a creature was formed by the blue color cloud. That creature had long ears with no hair. It had cat-like eyes while the front two canines of that creature made it look very horrifying. While for its lower body, it looked like it had two hands while everything under its torso was nothing.

"Shai hadj akhjh. Adiin kadh ma" That creature spoke in some language which Fabian didn't understand.

But by this time Fabian was finally able to move again. He was scared of the demon that had appeared before him. He doesn't know what was that thing in front of him, but if there was anything that his encounter with a demon had to tell, that was the fact that some of them eat humans for food. So without any second thought, Fabian took out the ax that he got from Sherly. And then with all the strength, he could muster he threw that ax, directly at the face of the thing in front of him…

"DIE YOU DEMON!" Fabian screamed as he threw the ax.

As the blue cloud saw the ax coming his way, he didn't do anything. He just floated in the air like before and the ax pass through his face. As he was essentially made of gas there was no way in hell that ax could have affected him…

"Did you just throw a fucking mortal ax towards me?" the cloud demon spoke.

"Ah…" Fabian mumbled. The fact that he was not able to wound the demon in front of him baffled him. Coupled with the fact that this demon was able to speak was itself very shocking.

"Did silver got your tongue? Tell me you dumbass why the fuck you threw a mortal ax at me?" the gaseous monster asked.

"I didn't want to be eaten by you…" Fabian spoke in a low voice.

"Eat you? Why the fuck I will eat you? And most importantly how the fuck will I eat you? And where is this place? And who the fuck are you and how the fuck did you get in possession of the ring?" the cloud demon asked.

"First tell me you who the hell are you?" Fabian asked back.

"I am the owner of the ring under me boy." The ghost said.

"ARE YOU A GHOST?" Fabian asked with astonishment.

"NO! I am not a ghost. How the hell did you get this ring?" the ghost asked.

"It is a long story." Fabian said.

"Tell me then." The ghost said.

It took Fabian 5 min to explain to the ghost his current situation. While telling the ghost his life story Fabian didn't notice that he was telling the ghost everything with putting up a fight. He was not a person that could trust anyone easily. But due to some reason, Fabian was telling him everything truthfully…

After Fabian had told the ghost everything, Fabian regain back his thinking power. It was then he realized that he had told a stranger about his whole life. And that was not good. He then looked at the ghost and said…

"You controlled my brain…." Fabian said in discontent.

"So what the fuck are you gonna do about it boy?" the ghost asked.

"Who the hell are you? How do you have the same powers as I do?" Fabian asked.

"Relax, I won't hurt you kid. My name is Von De Drac Ulaspas. As for who I am… I am the owner of the ring under and me and the founder of the house of Ulapas, one of the mighty Covens of Dark Lands." The ghost said.

"So…. You are a ghost of noble?" Fabian asked.

"…"

"Well, are you?" Fabian asked.

"In a way, you could say so. I was mighty Magus of my time. When I was about to die I made this ring for my successors to wear. But the fact that no one knew was the fact that only the person with the same affinity as me could open the ring and free me." The ghost said.

"So does that meant that now you will kill me and took over my body?" Fabian asked

"What? No!" the ghost said.

"There was a granny in our village who use to tell the stories about ghosts that would take over the body of an innocent human so that they could live again," Fabian asked suspiciously.

"That is true. But I am not a ghost. I am just a remnant of the soul. I only made this so that I could see the future and train the successor of the house." The ghost said.

"Why should I believe you?" Fabian asked.

"*Sigh*… Kid do you know what you are?" the ghost asked.

"I am a demon," Fabian said.

"No, you are not. If you were a demon then, believe me, I would not have been able to put you under my charm spell… My point is, you are a vampire. Do you know what that means?" the ghost asked.

"No…" Fabian said.

"That means you have become a being that could live on for centuries feeding on the blood of other beings." The ghost said.

"Wait… did you just say centuries?" Fabian asked in disbelief.

"Yes. When I was alive, I was also a vampire. I have lived on for centuries. I have fought in wars and done many terrible things. But then I finally formed a coven. That coven was my blood and sweat. But you see the thing was that although I wanted to pass down my knowledge and strength to my successors, no one had the power to wield it. That is why I made this ring in thought the one day a successor would be born with my strength and then he/ she could have finally I will be able to pass on my strength to them." The ghost said.

"So does that mean that I am the successor?" Fabian asked.

"Yes." The ghost said.

"Then what the demon that made me a… vampire," Fabian asked.

"I am also curious about him. Did he figure out that you were the one with my powers or did he just leave the ring here and he would come back later to pick it up?" the ghost said while thinking.

"Wouldn't it be bad if you declare me as your successor? I mean he was the one that possessed the ring in the first place." Fabian asked.

"NAH… You don't have to worry about that. From today onwards you are my successor and no one could change that." the ghost said.

"So what does it mean that I am your successor?" Fabian asked.

"It means that you would inherit the single greatest treasure of my lifetime, if I deem you worthy enough." The ghost said.

"If you deem me worthy? What does that mean?" Fabian asked.

"It means that from today onwards, I will stick with you and train in the ways of a vampire. If I deem you worthy then you will gain access to the treasure that I have worked so hard to make. If not then the ring will destroy itself with my inheritance." The ghost said.

"Does that mean that from today onwards you are my master?" Fabian asked.

"Yes, in a way." The ghost said.

"I don't trust you," Fabian said.

"Good. That is the single most intelligent sentence that you have spoken for this entire time. Don't trust anyone except yourself. Now let's get down to business shall we?" the ghost said…

"What do you mean?" Fabian asked.

"Well even though you don't trust me, I am still your master. So I must train you in the ways of a vampire. You should probably know your weaknesses and strengths before you go out there in the world." the ghost said.

"I know about my strengths. I get stronger as I drink human blood." Fabian said.

"Well for the matter of fact, you are not bound to human blood. You can drink any intelligent being's blood. Even the blood of a magical beast is not off the table. You can drink the blood of any being that could use mana and has a brain that could converse with you." The ghost said.

"What are magical beasts?" Fabian asked.

"What are magical beasts? You don't know what are magical beasts?" the ghost said.

"No…" Fabian said.

"Oh for fucks sake you are dumber than I thought… Damn" the ghost mumbled…
