Tip! Tap! Tip! Tap! Tip! Tap!
Rain continued to fall on the window, causing a small frown to appear on the boy who slept peaceful.
"~Uww~" A grumpy voice came from the boy's mouth.
The boy's long disheveled dirty blonde hair covered his face. His clenched eyes slowly opened up, revealing two cat like bright green eyes. The eyes seemed to glow beautifully and honestly, like an innocent dream. The boy's skin was somewhat tanned. Despite that, his rosy lips remained soft and small.
"Hmm... couldn't the sun shine a few hours later? Sigh! Welcome world! Lets have another fun brawl! Lets Gooo! Yeah! Very fun! Yes, the most... I shouldn't lie like that. Sigh!" The boy grinned helplessly and got up from the bed. His firm body didn't look muscular but it packed tight muscles.
His put on his slippers and walked out, he walked towards the room next to him and walked inside.
On a small single bed placed on the right side, a young girl slept comfily.
The boy walked next to her, seeing her slight open mouth and cozy expression, a warm smile formed on his face.
"Lou, Lou, walk up! That stupid sun has risen again. Get up or you will get late. I don't wanna listen to that fool of a teacher ranting again. Get up, Lou. Lou! If you aren't awake by the time I get wash up, prepare to get soaked. HeHe!" A mischievous smile formed on his face as he pressed the old style clock on the desk at the top-left corner of the room.
SHIIIII! SHIIIII!
An ear-piercing sound erupted from the clock, causing the innocent girl to frown in annoyance.
The boy walked out and entered the wash-room. He brushed his teeth and took a bath, despite the weather being cold the water he washed up with could freeze even air. Yet the boy didn't frown at all in discomfort. He kept smiling happily.
After finishing his bath, he wrapped a towel around himself and walked out.
He walked back to his own room and opened the closet placed on the bottom-right side of the room, opposite the side of the door.
He opened it and saw the few ironed clothes hung neatly inside, he grabbed a formal uniform type dress and wore it.
The uniform seemed old but it didn't look dirty in the least.
He put aside the tie for awhile and case to Luo's room. Seeing the neat and tidy room with the clock once again shut down, he smiled gently.
He walked towards the wash-room and started the water geyser. A low pitched sound came out of it and he walked out with a light smile.
He came down the stairs and saw a small girl with a slender figure moving her arms on the kitchen-counter.
"Lou, go wash up while I prepare the breakfast." The boy smiled gently seeing the back of the girl.
The girl slowly turned around, her fluffy dirty blonde hair swaying with the wind. Her face turned to face his, her small pale lips stretched to their peaks and her eyes turned into slits. Two dark-green cat like eyes stared at him, they didn't seem to shine like the boy's but instead looked dim and dark. Her bright skin seemed soft and smooth. She raised her hands and clapped them lightly.
"My, my brother, you sure love that foolish clock, don't you? Did you forget that I begged you sincerely on my knees to never-EVER start that drum of the world's end? I swear to my dear God, even the hideous sound of a donkey laughing is better than that horrifying nightmare of a so called, 'Good Morning' tune." Her smooth and sharp voice drifted into the boy's ears causing him to grin mischievously.
"Hehe! It seems you liked my little morning present again, huh? I swear I love my sister so much, I can't help but reward her with that melody of love everyday." The boy walked past the girl and started cutting the onions which his sister had already done half-way.
The girl rose her arms up in the air in a praying motion and spoke in a low but audible voice, "My dear God, I, your humble servant request You to please, please punish this devil named Soreign with Your holy judgement. Amen!" Luo smiled humbly and walked towards the wash-room.
Soreign pretentiously feigned a shocked look as his voice turn sharp, "Holy, there's a devil with the same name as me? Holy, mercy Lord, mercy!"
"Indeed, Indeed! The devil Sor lives rather close to me as well. In fact, he's grinning like a fool right now." Luo turned around and replied with a sweet smile before turning to walk towards the wash-room.
Soreign grinned evilly and replied, "My, my. This devil is rather evil to even use my nickname now. I should educate it someday. With my holy world's end tune."
Lou's body shuddered involuntarily as her body stiffly turned around, "Hehe, Hehe...hehe. I just heard the devil saying that I was mistaken of his name. He felt insulted and left quickly. He didn't forget to ask me to apologise to you for mistaking your name with his... hehe, hehe. Everything is soooo fine. Yeah!" Lou's laugh couldn't have had been more dead.
"Asked you to apologise? Wow! That's one well-mannered devil. I wonder which school it graduated from, so I can put my insolent little sister there as well." Sor grinned and put the onions into the pot while beginning to peal the potatoes.
"Hehe! Indeed, insolent little Lou." Lou's eerie laugh could frighten a ghost but she forced herself to swallow her anger, fearing the horrifying tune that plagued her days.
"Hehe!" Sor put the chopped potatoes into the pot and began to wrap the potatoes' skin onto the bread he had rolled into spherical shape awhile ago.
After he finished up, he put the 17 balls into a bowl and threw in two eggs. He covered them with a plate and began to stir the potatoes in the pot.
Soon, Lou walked out of the wash-room. She had worn her school uniform, a black long frock with a white blazer on top, a star shaped symbol adorned the front of the chest pocket of the blazer. Her shoes covered her up to the knees with white socks underneath. A warm white snow hat on top of her head.
A strap dangled out of her blazer's chest pocket. Coming down to her waist.
"Done yet?" Lou asked while moving towards next to Sor.
"Set up the table, I be done soon." Sor replied while checking the pot.
Lou nodded and grabbed the dishes and began putting them on the wodden table.
Sor stirred the pot for awhile before shutting the fire.
"Mashed potatoe soup, huh?" Lou smiled sweetly seeing their breakfast.
"Yea, I think I will be coming back later than usual today. Didn't want my this spoiled kid to go and burn our savings to fill up her tummy." Sor smirked before digging in.
"Hey!! How late exactly? Surely not like the last time, right? Tell me I won't have to stay alone till 11." Lou's cheek puffed out as she frowned in anger.
"Hahahahaha! Forget it forget it. What can I even do? I am so weak that if He desires it, I wouldn't ever even be able to come back." Sor scratched his head in a cool way before digging in.
After a momentary quietness, cold sweat poured down his face, his eyes slowly lifted to see Lou's head lowered to the table, 'Oh dang!'
Lou slowly got up and took the strap that dangled out of her chest pocket, it was a tie and wore it.
She buttoned-up her blazer and walked up the stairs. She soon walked down with a bad hanged on her shoulders.
'Ahem, get to work, Sor.' Sor got up and blocked her on the stairs.
"Hey, hey! You haven't finished up your food. Besides, its only 6:48. Your school starts at 8. Where are you headed to this early?" Sor smiled gently.
"I am not hungry. I didn't do my homework, I couldn't understand it so I going early so I can copy it. Now, move out of the way." Lou replied without an hint of pleasure. Her straight face looked directly at Sor's. Her dark-green eyes glaring at him.
"Haha! Forget that dumb homework, what do teachers even know other then giving innocent youths tons of homework. If you go and ask them what 79x57 is they will shut up and request a calculator while dishing out every last excuse in their vocabulary. Food is most important. And how are you not hungry, did you use money to buy something last night?" Sor scrutinised Lou from head to toe suspiciously.
"...Of course, you are to know what 79x57 is since you got the answer memorised, that's the one thing you use to shut up everyone pretending to be clever. And... I didn't buy anything don't look at me like that." Lou looked away in contempt.
"Hey! You underestimate me, I even memorised what 174x567 is. And if u didn't eat anything last night sneakily then go and eat your breakfast since it will go to waste otherwise." Sor puffed out his chest in pride. Of course, he had actually memorised some even tougher questions.
"..." Lou speechlessly stared at Sor.
"Sigh! Anyways, I am not hungry move out of my way." Lou stared at Sor.
"...You are a big girl. Try to push me!" Sor grinned mischievously.
Lou's mouth spasmed as she wondered whether she should actually push him. "Fine, I will just sit here until you leave."
Sor blankly looked at her before grinning and sitting besides her, "You know, you look rather sweet when you get so worked-up." Sor smiles as he poked her cheek with his finger.
"Don't touch me." Lou moves her head to the side.
"Why?" Sor kept poking her cheek.
"...Don't, touch, me." Lou spoke word-by-word. Not forgetting to glare at him while frowning.
'...This is bad.' Sor's mouth spasmed as he looked at Lou's eyes slowly get wet.
He took his hand back and pondered for a while.
"I am sorry." Sor stared at Lou earnestly.
"For what?!" Lou's slightly red eyes shivered with anger.
"For... breaking my promise again." Sor didn't smile, he couldn't at the moment.
"Ohh! So you DO remember such a worthless thing, huh?" Lou glared at him, her eyes almost betraying her.
"Our promise is not worthless. To me, even wealth that drowns me is like the skin of a pealed banana thrown on the street when compared to you." Sor gently looked at Lou, his arm going around her shoulder as he leaned his head against her shoulder.
"Humph! You are just saying." Lou looked away.
"I am not." Sor replied and closed his eyes.
The slightly trembling shoulder pained his heart.
Sniff! Sniff!
'I just want you to realise Luo, one day, I must leave you. I want you to be brave enough to live and fight this world on your own and I will continue to be your shield until... He who may give death to even Death will call me back to his side.' Sor opened his eyes, his bright-green eyes fixated at Lou's face.
She kept wiping the water with her right arm that only God knew where it came from and kept drenching her face.
"Hey! Who dares soak my sister's face? Come, let me wipe it clean Lou." Sor spoke angrily before gently holding Lou's chin in his hand.
"Sniff! I can do it myself." Lou turned away her eyes but she didn't push away his hand.
"But how can I let you clean the mess of another?" Lou smiled gently before wiping her face clean with his hand.
Lou leaned her head on his shoulder and held his hand tightly.
Sor smiles warmly and leaned to her ear and whispered, "Hungry?"
"~Hmm~"
"Come then." Sor held her shoulders and helped her to her feet.
Lou sat down on the chair and started digging in. Sor smiled and ate his fill before checking the time.
'7:09, Hmm! Seems that i have enough time.' Sor smiled and walked up to his room.
He took his blue blazer and wore it. On top of his grey shirt and pants, he looked rather pleasing to the eye. He pushed his hair backwards, which covered his forehead. His straight, heavy hair didn't move from the position he adjusted them in.
He took out his wallet and looked inside.
Seeing the money inside he grinned and walked down.
"Lou, I am going out for awhile. While I get back, be prepared for school." Sor spoke causally as he walked towards the door.
"Where are you goi- -"
Thud!
Lou awkwardly shut her mouth. Her mouth twitched in annoyance but she couldn't do anything other then sighing in the end.
Sor jogged on the street for about 20 minutes, bypassing several shops and cars before arriving at a supermarket.
He walked inside and arrived at the sweets section, 'Where is it now?'
His bright-green eyes scanned the shelfs before his eyes landed on a specific item.
He grinned and grabbed the most expensive one.
He walked to the counter and handed it to the receptionist.
Who replied after typing something in the computer, "1499 rupees, Sir."
Sor smiled and took out the money. The receptionist took it and handed him the item along with a receipt.
Sor walked out and jogged back to his home.
He took out the keys and walked inside.
As he walked inside, Lou walked down the stairs holding on to a geometry box.
"Doesn't my sister look dashing?" Sor marvelled as he took out his shoes from the shoe rack and put back his joggers.
"Wow! My brother sure knows what 'back in a while' means, huh?" Lou smiled and grabbed her bag, she sat down on a chair and looked at him get prepared.
"Though I surely fail to match my brother." Lou chuckled as she saw him go to the stairs.
"How can that be? My princess is the most beautifully." Sor grinned as he walked up.
He came down with his bag hung on his shoulder.
"Lets go." Sor said while putting on his tie.
Sor grinned while facing the door, as Lou approached behind him he turned around quickly and flicked her forehead.
Lou, caught off-guard stumbled and fell on her hips. Sor quickly pretended to trip as well and fell next to her.
"Ouch! What was that for?" Lou angrily glared at Sor.
"I don't know. I saw a shadow there. I got frightened so I stumbled backwards." Sor feigned ignorance as he got to his feet, he lent Lou a hand who took it grumpily.
"Wait, why does my pocket feel heavy? Did that shadow drop something? Humph! Serves it right." Sor smirked in contempt.
"Huh? Wait, isn't this my sister's beloved 'Vanilla Choco Bites'?" Sor's mouth went agape, he sneakily glanced at Lou who stared at him in utter speechlessness.
"What the heck?" Lou grinned and stared at Sor in disbelief.
'If he bought me something couldn't he hand it to me normally?' Lou grinned helplessly.
"Well, I guess it's a good day for me!" Lou chuckles as she dashed forward and snatched the packet from his hands.
But seeing the packet her smile froze, 'This costs a ton hell lot of money...'
"Hmm, it truly is the best day, seeing my sister so happy." Sor's bright smiled dug deep into her heart.
Lou slowly walked up to him and smashed her head on his chest, "Thuuu yoo!" Her muffled voice didn't allow Sor hear her but he knew what she said.
"Hehe! No need to thank me, I didn't buy that." Sor grinned cheekily.
Lou jumped back, "Of course you didn't." Her dark-green eyes gently stared at him.
"Hahaha! Lets go or we will be late." Sor grinned and walked out, Lou followed him.

Mmmmm!
"Don't eat all of it in one go!" Sor speechlessly looked at Lou gobbling down his gift.
~Hmm~
"But its delicious!" Lou exclaimed in delight.
Sor shook his head speechlessly
"Brother!"
"Yea?"
"You are the best!"
"Hehe! Of course I know."
"Don't ever leave my, kay?"
Sor's eyes flickered before he smiled, "Sure!"
