Chapter 14 - BRYANAYA 14

While waiting for her mother to call to come to her, Kanaya chose to buy ice cream first. Before coming to the mall, his mood was already bad and when he saw the skincare, his mood immediately changed, but after that—more precisely, after meeting Farel, his mood returned to bad.

He shouldn't have been grateful for being reunited with Farel, he was very sorry for meeting that man again. What has always been the question all this time is why doesn't Farel feel the same way with him? Because for the three years they were together, Farel even knew his mother and vice versa.

Kanaya smiled as her ice cream order arrived. "Thanks, ma'am."

"Yes, you're welcome, Sis. Please enjoy!"

The girl tried to get Farel out of her mind, the guy already had a girlfriend and didn't even think about his feelings. Why can't he? As soon as possible, Kanaya must be like Farel, have a boyfriend and erase the boy and their memories from his mind.

After finishing his ice cream, Kanaya intends to call her mother, it's okay she has to wait there because at least she doesn't feel too alone. His hand took the phone and searched for contacts with mama's writing on his cellphone.

As soon as the call was connected Kanaya immediately put it to her ear.

"Where is mother?"

'Still at the mall, Mama hasn't taken you home yet.'

Kanaya took a deep breath. "You mean Naya now where is Mama?"

'At Richard's restaurant, you want to come here?'

"Yes. Naya is there now."

After disconnecting the call Kanaya got up and walked out of the ice cream shop, the girl quickened her pace when she saw the figure of Farel who was about to leave the skincare shop earlier. Kanaya didn't want to meet that man face to face at all, no matter what coincidence it was.

Arriving at Richard's restaurant as her mother had said on the phone, Kanaya looked around the restaurant and as soon as she saw the gathering of socialite women, Kanaya immediately walked up to her.

"Mom!" Kanaya tapped her mother's shoulder lightly, causing the woman to turn around and smile.

"Hi darling!" Eva got up from her seat and hugged Kanaya briefly.

Kanaya's arrival made some of the women he recognized immediately stare at him. Suddenly Kanaya immediately kissed the back of their hands one by one as a sign of respect for older people.

"Hi, Auntie everyone!" said Kanaya friendly.

"Hello too, beautiful!"

Eva looked at her daughter who was carrying a paper bag that read the shop that Kanaya visited earlier. "Are you buying skincare again? Have you run out of skincare at home?"

"It's finished, Ma," Kanaya answered quickly. Even though not all of her skincare has been finished, but if she tells the truth, her mother will definitely be angry because she is being extravagant.

"Well, you just order over there, sit in another chair. There aren't any empty seats here, and I'm sure you don't want to join here anyways."

Kanaya immediately shuddered. "No, Ma. Noisy," the girl whispered at the end of her sentence, she might immediately be given a sharp glare by the women if she spoke like that.

"You are!"

The girl chuckled softly. "This is Naya, order Naya as she pleases, Mama will pay later, right?"

Eva rolled her eyes lazily but couldn't help but nod her head. This made Kanaya immediately kissed Eva's right cheek briefly and immediately ran away from the woman.

The woman who still looked young could only shake her head at her daughter's behavior, which seemed like it was the first time she had been treated like that.

"Does your son have a girlfriend?"

The question that came from one of her friends made Eva turn her head. "No, I think so."

"I have a boy, what if we just match them? It's definitely suitable," he said again.

This made Eva lick her lips, she didn't intend to match her daughter at all. Because he thinks Kanaya must have her own choices and Eva doesn't want to act rashly by only thinking about herself, for now Kanaya is still in college and has a long way to go.

"If I just become friends, I agree, Fan."

The woman known as Fanny just sighed. "I want our child to be married."

Eva shook her head. "My son's future is still far away, haven't thought about it that way yet."

On the other hand, Kanaya, who had just sat at one of the restaurant tables, was immediately approached by waiters, handed over the menu book and prepared to write down Kanaya's order. The girl looked at the menu book and mentioned the food she thought was interesting.

After ordering food and being told to wait, Kanaya fiddled with her cell phone for a while. Not long after, Kanaya put her cellphone back on the table because there was nothing interesting on her cellphone.

His eyes moved to see the rest of the restaurant which was not too crowded, until his gaze stopped at the words 'toilet', it seemed that the food was still being made, Kanaya finally decided to go to the toilet first.

His feet stepped into the toilet area, as soon as Kanaya turned to the right—where the sink and mirror were, Kanaya saw a woman he had met. The girl chuckled in annoyance when she remembered the incident a few days ago, where she met the woman who was slapping powder on her face.

"Ekhem," Kanaya cleared her throat as she stood next to the girl, Kanaya pretended to straighten her hair when the corners of her eyes saw the girl staring at her.

"We meet again," Kanaya muttered sarcastically.

"Sia—oh, you were at the cafe that time, right? Oh my God, I'm sorry once again..." Jessica begged when she remembered the girl standing next to her.

"Are you here with your CEO?" Kanaya shifted the conversation by deliberately emphasizing the word CEO.

Jessica nodded. "Yes. What's the matter with my boss, huh?"

Kanaya glanced around to make sure that no one else would enter or even in the toilet cubicle, then Kanaya approached Jessica and whispered something that made Jessica stunned to hear it.

**

"Who?"

The woman with a knee-length skirt equipped with a blazer as her boss could only shake her head while lowering her head. Meanwhile, the interlocutor could only sigh harshly and then rose from his seat.

Hearing footsteps behind him made Bryan raise his hand, telling Jessica not to follow him.

"Don't follow me, even forever you can't follow me anymore if you don't tell who said it and it's addressed to me!" Bryan said, taking the secretary by surprise. That means indirectly he was fired! Seriously!

"But—Sir..."

The man turned and glared at Jessica. "Tell me who that person is or are you fired?"

After considering everything Jessica finally nodded, willing to tell him rather than losing her job.

"A girl I met at the cafe, sir."
