Chapter 291 - Day 291: Transport method (I)

"Well, I quite like your attitude, and although there's no need to say thank you to me since I offered to help you, it feels good to know your opinion on the matter. I was thinking that maybe it was too boring for you, hehe." Lynn's small laugh was no longer so strange to hear in the room, but if we ignore the situation a little, it goes without saying that many would be captivated by her. Lynn was a complete beauty, possibly on Shino's level, but that did not affect Blake anymore… Well, he ignored it as best he could.

Blake responded to her comment by saying that it wasn't boring at all and that he was getting more and more curious about what he would hear next, and that made Lynn regain some strength as she finished her cup of tea.

"Well, we already talked about Yamato Island and the lake of the beginning... I guess we can go a little further before getting into most of the important stuff." Lynn's finger moved again, dragging itself across the surface of the map until it ended up at a nearby point to the continent Gebu and Uruz. Blake had just read the name of the location, but Lynn began to explain before she could ask any more questions. "The kingdom of the elves. You can guess what it is about just from the name."

Lynn's words made a lot of sense, and Blake was already making his own ideas in his mind.

"In itself, the kingdom of the elves is precisely the homeland of said race. A land rich in nature and in which people with malicious hearts are not welcome at all, but if you have the opportunity to enter and appreciate its beauty, you will find an ecosystem, or rather, a civilization that has known how to evolve and combine their lifestyle with everything that Futhark can offer." Lynn had concentrated enough since that information was not exactly common knowledge, it was true that everyone knew about the existence of the elven kingdom and that was where they belonged, but the exact details were only known either by the elves themselves or by some special people. "The houses combined with the trees, the clean air, and the various artistic skills that will soon be noticed are just the first things you would see. I'm sure you think the Sharance tree is already amazing enough for its size, but believe me when I tell you, compared to the world tree, you could think of it as just a small stem that's just beginning to grow.

Blake raised one of his eyebrows in anticipation and interest, he was one of the people who was quite aware of the magnitude of the Sharance tree, but from what Lynn said, this so-called world tree was several times more incredible in terms of size, and she didn't stop there with that simple explanation.

"The world tree is located in the center of the elven kingdom, its size is large enough for anyone to be impressed, and there is a quite popular phrase among elves to describe that… If you want to see the clouds or the stars, you better look at the horizon or you'll confuse the branches of the world tree with the vast sky above you." Perhaps Lynn's words served as a description, but Blake found it very difficult to imagine that situation. "I'm not lying, the world tree is precisely that, a majestic tree that is quite important to the elf race. They are basically like their protectors since it's the one who protected them during the era of disconnection."

Once again, that term that Blake was a little familiar with was mentioned, but it only made him doubt and think that he needed to delve a little deeper into it. Lynn noticed Blake's slight unease a little, but questions were sure to arise once he was done, so she continued with what she had in mind.

"Just like the feature in its name about the fact that it is the homeland of the elves, its distribution of power is mainly based on the leadership of a queen, this has always been the case, or at least that is what is known. There is no such thing as a royal family, but it is something similar to the case of the Mer, the leadership alternates between the dawn elves and the dark elves, always being the strongest and most capable elf between each side who takes the title of queen of the elves." There had been mentioned a new pair of facts in which Blake became very interested, mainly because there was also a kind of division among the elves, and from their names, he could assume that Daria was a dawn elf… Or at least that's what he thought. "And since we're already on that topic, I guess we can start mentioning some more facts about elves."

Lynn didn't want to miss anything this time, especially because she had a lot of knowledge about it, her best friend was an elf belonging to the elf kingdom, so, if she found out that she had said something wrong about her race, she probably would never forgive her.

"In itself, we can say that we are in a quite pleasant time, all the races in the world are in balance and the interaction and respect between them is very present, of course there are still differences or some problems daily, but it is very different from what it was in the past. One of those aspects is that, in the past, you would never see an elf outside of their kingdom... And although it sounds sad, the only ones you saw in the world were the victims of kidnappings or those banished for some reason..." The melancholic feeling was quite noticeable in Lynn's voice, especially since she had been a bystander to that whole situation, but she didn't want Blake to worry, although it still made him think a little to himself.

'So that's the dark part of this world... I've always been aware even though I haven't encountered extreme situations, but hearing all that...' Blake had to frown a little, but like Lynn, he didn't want to let the others worry, so he shook his head to which he focused his attention once more.

"But I must say that everything is better right now to a large extent. It has been a few decades since the elves left the safety of their kingdom and took the initiative to be part of Futhark, so it is no longer a stroke of luck to find you with some elves, but you must still feel very lucky, after all, they are not considered the most beautiful race for any reason."
