Chapter 251 - Day 251: Obvious (I)

Evelyn crossed her arms under her chest while giving her aunt an angry look… But that only made Lynn think that she looked cute, although she had to act accordingly.

"I understand... I'm sorry about what happened, Blake." Lynn had turned her attention back to Blake. She wasn't really ignorant of what had happened and wanted to somehow apologize to him. "That person you saw was one of my personal guards, he's a bit sensitive towards any new person I meet and he attacked you at that time..."

The explanation clarified everything, although Blake had already thought of that before… But it still sounded somewhat worrisome. He wanted to say everything was fine again, but Lynn hadn't stopped talking.

"Maybe my words aren't enough to make you excuse me, so I hope you can accept this little gift." As Lynn said that, she raised her hand a little and then removed a ring from her middle finger.

This was viewed curiously by both Blake and Evelyn. Lynn approached Blake again and then took his hand and put the ring she had just removed. It didn't take long for Blake to understand what she was trying to do, and although the first thing that appeared in his mind was to reject the gesture, he wouldn't have time for that.

"I already gave it to you, so you can't give it back to me!" Lynn's gaze was quite serious at that moment, but that expression quickly turned into an excited smile. "This dimensional ring is really amazing, surely you wouldn't have a problem storing thousands of apples inside it, plus it can turn invisible! I like it a lot, so I hope you take care of it."

Lynn's eyes twinkled a bit as she said all that while Blake felt a bit overwhelmed, and on Evelyn's side, she was a bit surprised by the way her aunt apologized… Though she knew what to give away that ring was not a great loss to her.

"Um… Thank you…" Blake didn't know what to say at the sudden kindness, but he no longer had a way to return it even if he wanted to.

He carefully took the ring to see it better, the light from the place reflected on it because it seemed to be made of gold, it had a simple design of lines in the shape of branches around it, and despite all that combination, the ring didn't stand out too much.

Lynn had closed her eyes for a moment and then a light wave of energy came out of her body and hit the ring on Blake's hand, he didn't know the reason for that, but Lynn would explain everything herself.

"Done, I've just cut the link of my runic energy with the ring, you just need to connect it with your own runic energy and it will be completely yours." Lynn was urging Blake to follow her instructions, so it wasn't long before he do that.

It was the first time Blake had linked his runic energy in this way, but everything went smoothly thanks to Lynn's guidance. He only needed to focus his runic energy on the place where the ring was and he quickly felt how this was being filled by his energy until there was a kind of union between them.

"Perfect, now try it on." Lynn seemed to be the most excited at that moment, so both Blake and Evelyn just sighed internally as they saw her attitude.

Blake was about to try on the ring, but there was a little problem.

"I think it's a little small." That was Blake's first thought and he couldn't help but say it. At first glance he could tell that Lynn's hands were slightly smaller than his; though maybe the ring would fit on one of his fingers if he tried.

"Don't worry, this ring also has another special function, just bring it closer to the finger you want to wear it on." Lynn heard the problem Blake had in mind, but the solution was quite simple.

Blake listened to the instructions again and did just that, he also wanted to wear it on his middle finger so he brought the ring closer, and, to his surprise, it expanded a bit until it was the perfect size.

"Then it seems that I have nothing to complain about." Blake was looking at the ring again, only now on his finger. "Thank you very much for the gift."

"Perfect! I'm glad you like it." Lynn laughed as she hid her smile behind her small fan.

"Anyway, you'd better go take a seat next to Dad, the event isn't over yet..." And just as Evelyn was explaining all that, everyone turned their attention to what seemed to be Sofia's desperate voice since Blake hadn't come out again in all this time. "I'll go fix that, just don't cause any more trouble!"

Evelyn pulled away as she yelled in Lynn's direction.

"Did she mean you, Blake?" Lynn seemed to mean that question very seriously, which made Blake shake his head and somewhat understood Evelyn's feelings towards her aunt.

It seemed that the time for Blake to say goodbye had come, but Lynn wouldn't let him do it just yet.

"Are you a mage or a runic?" Lynn's question had come completely out of the blue, and Blake unconsciously became nervous.

While all this was going on behind the scenes, on the platform you could see the figure of Sofia improvising anything to keep the audience busy... Although it wasn't going quite well, but everyone was doing their best to support her... But at the same time, Blake's masters came over to discuss something among themselves.

"Did you feel it too?" There was a bit of context missing from Shino's question, but Marjorie didn't need that to understand what she meant.

"Yes, looks like she's in town again, I just hope Blake hasn't run into that girl…" Marjorie's look was a bit worrying, though only she knew what was on her mind.
