"Good morning, Raven." Blake gave a simple greeting after Raven made his way down the stairs and approached the place where both he and Gaius were.
"Good morning... So you're still there?" Raven also greeted Blake and, although she was going to ask what he was doing in the smithy so early, her gaze had turned to Gaius's limp body and that question came out of her mouth.
"..." It seemed that Gaius had decided to slip into his role as a piece of iron again, so not a single word came out in response to Raven's question.
Blake saw that little interaction, so he thought Raven might know something about what was happening.
"Do you know how long he's been on the floor?" Blake pointed his finger at Gaius so that Raven fully understood what he meant.
"From what I remember, he's been there since midnight. So I guess he spent the whole night in that place." Raven said that calmly as if there was no problem, but Blake understood that maybe he was going through something serious with Gaius.
A new silence took over the place after what Raven said, although it didn't last too long as she spoke to Gaius again.
"I'm going to give her gift to Evelyn, aren't you really going?" Those words had piqued Blake's interest.
"Someone has to take care of the shop…" Gaius averted his face from Raven's piercing gaze before saying those simple words that she took as an excuse.
"It doesn't matter, I won't force you to do anything either." For her part, Raven was quite used to Gaius's way of acting, although that only happened on that specific day.
After saying everything on her mind, Raven turned her attention away from Gaius and focused her gaze on Blake, but the same calm that was in the smithy didn't disappear since she didn't say anything before saying goodbye to Blake, simply nodding her head a little while he waved his hand and laughing a little at the way she acted.
Blake was still a bit confused and felt that he shouldn't bother Gaius anymore with questions that possibly wouldn't be answered by him or would lead to a completely different or strange topic, so he left the smithy and ran as fast as he could to the flower shop to find his orange-haired friend.
…
"Any special event?" Shara asked that question somewhat confused since she had barely understood Blake's question.
"Yes, I heard something about Evelyn."
"Oh!" Shara's expression brightened at that moment as she knew what Blake was talking about. "So that was it, actually today is Evelyn's birthday. Thanks for reminding me, Blake. I think it's a little late for me."
"Don't thank me, I just had a little suspicion, I didn't know it was Evelyn's birthday." That same confirmation made Blake worry a little about finding some kind of gift.
Although it did not seem so, he was grateful to Evelyn, she had given him several sets of clothes, although he had not used them yet and they were still in his inventory; he also remembered that his clothes had been torn apart by the raccoon before, and one day Evelyn had come to the entrance of the Sharance tree ordering him to give her those clothes so that later she would return with the outfit fully repaired.
So, with all that in mind, Blake said goodbye to Shara after thanking her for the information. He had left the flower shop with no idea other than to find some materials that would help Evelyn with her work, which had continued in his mind at the same time that his feet took him to the entrance of his home, and Blake's gaze was caught by the small mailbox before starting to search inside for something.
"So someone sent something." Blake took the only letter inside and opened it to begin perusing.
{Can you help?
Client: Evelyn.
Thanks in advance.}
Blake kept wondering to himself why the system still had some sort of relationship with the requests if it hadn't already given him any mystery boxes for completing them, but he left that for another time since it seemed quite convenient that the request was from Evelyn.
…
His legs took him right to the area where the huge town mansion was located, Blake was still thinking of a gift for Evelyn since he didn't consider the request as one, but maybe he could get some clue from it.
"Evelyn!" Blake raised his voice saying Evelyn's name since he had caught sight of her right in front of the mansion and wanted to get her attention at the same time that he hurried his step to catch up with her.
"Oh, is something wrong, Blake?" Evelyn had to say that she was a little surprised by Blake's sudden voice, but her curiosity to know what was happened made her ignore everything else.
"Er... Good morning." Blake was a little embarrassed by his way of getting her attention, so he wanted to start the conversation a little more normally.
"Hahaha. Good morning to you too… Are you here by my letter?" Evelyn guessed a bit, and she looked like she was right.
"Yes, do you need anything special?"
"Scrap." And hearing that, Blake showed a confused expression.
"Scrap?"
"Why are you so surprised?" Evelyn saw Blake's expression and couldn't help but wonder why he was surprised.
"Well...Actually, there are times when I like to put on a confused expression for no reason, haha..." Blake realized that there was no reason to question Evelyn's request in the first place because it seemed like she was serious.
"Blake... You're a little weird." Evelyn chuckled a little to herself after saying that, and Blake didn't know what to say.
"So... You only need a few pieces of scrap?"
"That's right, the more you bring the better, I really appreciate your help." Evelyn was already in a very good mood that day, so having Blake's help only made her happier since there would be no more problems with what she had in mind.
She said goodbye to Blake saying that she would wait for him inside the mansion while he also said goodbye to her, and just as Evelyn disappeared from his sight, Blake also disappeared in a faint halo of cyan light.
