Chapter 228 - Day 228: Mutual benefits (II)

/Monday, Spring 20/10:00 AM/

A new morning had arrived for the Sharance town, the sun's rays had long since illuminated the entire exterior and you would only need a deep breath to fully feel the clean air of the surroundings, but putting that aside for a bit, we can concentrate on Blake's current situation.

"And... With this place, I would finally end." Blake's voice was heard clearly due to the silence that was in the fields of crops.

He had set himself the task of clearing many plots since he wanted to plant many seeds this time. A tired sigh had left his mouth while he put his hoe on his shoulder and wiped the sweat from his forehead with his other hand, but besides that, Blake was paying attention to the typical system notifications.

[Earth skill, Increased.]

[Farming skill, increased.]

[Logging skill, Increased.]

"I guess I shouldn't think it's strange..." Blake took in the surroundings a bit, he really had to admit that he had cleared a good portion of the fields and it looked pretty clean compared to its previous image, but there was still a lot of work to do.

He began to do some calculations in his mind, and fixing once more on the time, he let his footsteps take him to the place where he would obtain the seeds he was looking for.

The road was not long after Blake left his farm behind, along the way he noticed the changes compared to the day before since the calm in the environment was quite obvious, which was enough for anyone to notice that the festival had been left past.

The door of the flower shop was opened showing an image of the other side that had already become common for him, plus the little greeting the next moment made Blake approach with enough confidence.

"Welcome!" Shara's animated voice was not long in coming when she saw Blake approaching.

"Good morning, Shara... I think you know what I'm doing here."

"Hmm... I actually wonder, why are you here, Blake?" Shara gave a curious look, but the small laugh that came out of her a moment later meant that she was just playing with Blake.

"Some things happened and yesterday was the festival, so I haven't been able to replenish my seed supply." Blake was quick to reply, although it was pretty obvious that was why he was at the flower shop.

"So you're coming at the perfect time, we just restocked and I think there will be everything you need." Shara was happy, not only because she was able to help Blake, but also because sales were never bad for the store.

"So... I'd like more than a hundred bags of cherry grass seeds." Blake's voice came out calm, but that itself took Shara by surprise a moment later.

"So a hundred… More than a hundred?!" Without waiting for long, a surprised cry came from Shara at the same time she widened her eyes and looked at Blake for confirmation.

"Yes, specifically, I need one hundred twenty-six bags of seeds." Blake wasn't kidding; he had cleared more than half of the crop fields, but the seeds he had with him weren't enough to fill them. "Aren't there enough?"

"No, no! Of course there are enough, it's just that I was a little surprised, it seems that you will make a last big harvest of the season." Shara was beginning to remember the amount in the store and knew there were no problems with Blake's request.

"That's comforting... And thanks for reminding me that spring is almost over, maybe I would have kept planting spring crops if you hadn't reminded me." Blake was discreetly beginning to take the coins out of his inventory behind him and add them to his little dimensional sack, but at that moment, he was also surprised as he had finally realized that he had over sixty thousand coins with him. 'Hmm... So those were the benefits of selling all the cherry grass from before... Interesting.'"

"I'm glad about that, it wouldn't be good for you to wake up on the first day of summer and see your entire field full of withered plants... Now let me go find the seeds." Shara emphasized that information a lot since she remembered the time she took care of a toyherb and that her grandfather had to console her to stop crying when she saw her beloved flower completely withered on the first day of summer.

Shara walked away from the counter, and then through a door that seemed to lead to the back area, and it took her a few minutes before she returned with a new sack in her hands.

"Here's Blake, these are all the bags of seeds you need, would that be... Fifteen thousand one hundred twenty coins, please." Blake looked at the sack in front of him and then took it and transferred all the seeds to the sack he had with him, at the same time, and once he realized that it was the exact amount, he also transferred the number of coins to the same sack, although that took a few minutes.

"Now that I think about it... You don't have a transfer card, do you, Blake?" That question came to Shara after seeing Blake's action, and noticing the confused expression on his face, Shara knew it was true and was quick to explain. "A transfer card is literally a card as the name says, it basically works like a dimensional sack, but the difference is that this one only serves to store coins, and its main feature is that it makes it easier to buy things since you can directly transfer the amount of coins for payment."

"That would be really helpful, but where can I get one?" Now curiosity had gotten the better of Blake.

"About that… The only place you can ask for it is in a messaging department since they are in charge of protecting the transfer cards as well as being the ones who created them, for example, you can link the transfer card with your runic energy so that nobody more can use it besides you, but if you lose it, the messaging department can always recover the coins you lost by connecting directly with the space inside the card." Shara was quite focused since it wasn't the first time she explained that to someone since the florist used this method of payment quite regularly, and she knew that Blake would take advantage of that information.
