Chapter 225 - Day 225: Date? (III)

After an "Eh?" that it was no longer strange that he appeared at various times, a deep silence took over the place. A small breeze was lightly blowing through the trees causing the leaves to dance simultaneously, the small rays of the sun were still not interrupted by the clouds in the sky, but it could be said that all of that did not really matter too much.

"Nana, I think you're a little confused..." Those words came just after Blake had analyzed what he heard. He didn't understand how she came to that conclusion, but he would do his best to fix any misunderstanding.

"Why do you say that?" In turn, Nana questioned seeing Blake's expression, she noted the situation from before in quite detail and trusted her intuition, so she guessed that she was not wrong.

She wanted to say what was on her mind at the moment, but she would soon understand that this was not the time to do so since Blake would interrupt her earlier.

"I guess you said that because... Well... You thought me and Raven are in a relationship, right?" It took Blake a little while to say that, but he knew he didn't have to worry.

"Isn't that so?" Blake's words had surprised Nana. "I saw with my own eyes how well you two got along, plus she invited you on a date tomorrow."

"No, no. That was just a request, besides, she and I are just friends, or at least I consider that to be our relationship." Blake said that last thing since, for his part, he considered Raven as a friend, but he didn't know how she felt.

"Hmm… If you say so." Nana had already made up her own story in her mind, she might have accepted Blake's explanation, but now she felt the urge to tease him. "So, Raven doesn't have a boyfriend?"

"..." Blake fell silent, mainly because he began to think about that possibility, and although he felt a little strange about it, he answered directly after a few seconds. "She hasn't, or at least not that I know of."

"That's pretty strange too, even I can tell that Raven is a beauty, surely she has a secret admirer somewhere." Nana put a finger under her chin indicating that she was thinking deeply about it. "Am I lying, Blake?"

Blake didn't know how he had gotten into this situation, but he didn't have a good idea of how to get out of Nana's questions either. He too struck a thoughtful pose, though there really wasn't much to think about.

In his mind, the figure of Raven had appeared, there was nothing strange about it, she was the same as he knew, but especially, Blake was ignoring most of the memories where she kept that serious or expressionless expression.

He focused on his memories where he had seen Raven in situations where she acted differently than she normally did, those little expressions that Blake felt he was one of the few to see it made it even more special, and actually, he was lost in all of it until a single word came out of his mouth.

"Yes..." Now Blake's gaze was a little lost at the moment, almost as if he had said that unconsciously, but Nana had to make sure of what she had heard.

"What exactly do you mean by that?" A new question had come out of her, but besides her curiosity, something had appeared before her sight just at that moment and she was not going to waste it.

"It's true... Raven is beautiful." Blake seemed to have come back to reality at the same time that he realized what he had just said.

Maybe he just got a little nervous since the first thing that had appeared in front of him was Nana's smiling and excited face, but before he asked a bit about the reason for that, he felt something behind him and couldn't help but turn around quickly.

Both he and Nana had just left the smithy, but they hadn't gone far and were still standing right in front of the smithy's front door. Blake had not been aware of something as he was busy with his own thoughts, but Nana had heard small footsteps at the same time that a person she had just met a few moments ago appeared before Blake gave the above answer.

And now, in front of Blake's sight, Raven was totally static after leaving the smithy. As before, silence took over the place, it seemed that Nana was the only one expecting what would happen next and the huge smile on her face highlighted that fact even more, besides that everything had turned out naturally, which was more exciting for her.

"H-Hello again..." Blake gave that greeting with some difficulty at first due to the surprise of seeing Raven. 'She heard me, right?'

"Hello..." Raven's response had actually been quite normal. "Gaius had told me that I should go look for him after the event was over."

Raven explained what she was doing before Blake thought to ask.

"I see, so... See you tomorrow, or maybe we'll meet later by chance, haha..." Blake now thought that Raven hadn't heard him, so he waved goodbye once more since she seemed to be in a hurry for some reason.

He saw Raven nod at his words, and he thought he would see her figure slowly receding into the distance, but before anyone knew it, both Blake and Nana could see Raven running off at a speed that would be hard to catch up for an ordinary person, which made something clear to Blake.

'Yes… She heard me…'

...

"Blake... I'm sorry..." At first, Nana had been enjoying the show, but later she knew that she might have overdone things a bit once she saw Raven's reaction, so she felt that she should apologize to Blake.

"Don't worry. I guess she heard what I said... It's probably going to be a bit awkward the next time I see her." Blake said that to himself. "Anyway, let me fix all of that… Should we continue with the tour?"
