Blake hadn't taken long to recover from that, and after turning Shoku back to her seed form, he took the same path he and Shara had come from. It didn't take long for the sight of the town to come into his sight, and at the same time, he heard something he had been waiting for.
[Request completed.]
The characteristic voice of the system had made an appearance, but after a few seconds, that was it. Blake had remained static in the same place he was standing, that little hope he had with him was gone, and he had to ask a simple question at that moment.
"Hmm... Is something wrong, system?" Blake seemed to be talking to himself at that moment since no one answered him, although the latter was already quite common.
His confusion was specifically because the system hadn't come up with the typical notification telling him to pick some mystery box, so it took a few minutes before he was convinced that the system wouldn't do it again.
Whenever Blake finished with a request, he could choose a mystery box that the system gave him. Most of the time he didn't get anything amazing, but it was still a small reward that Blake wasn't going to turn down, so he found strange this sudden behavior that had not stopped repeating itself
'Will it be due to the upgrade of the system?' That idea came quickly. It was true that the upgrades had only helped him up to this point, but it seemed that some changes were quite the opposite.
The system had already been updated twice since he was aware of it, and Blake could guess that it wouldn't be the last time he would experience something like this, so he should be prepared for whatever happened.
Although he was somewhat disappointed, Blake told himself that there was no point in thinking too much about this situation since it was not something his life depended on, so he followed his steps until he arrived to Sharance again.
Unlike the morning, now so much the decorations, tourists, and the lively atmosphere had increased in the streets of the town, it really was something to appreciate, but Blake just kept moving towards the place where he knew they would all go.
…
As if this was his first experience at a town festival, Blake was quickly taken in by his surroundings and all the event had to offer. The adults enjoyed various chats among themselves while the children ran around the venue with distinctive wooly-themed hats on their heads as their giggles of amusement filled the venue.
The typical stall and tables where Blaise left the food he had just prepared were one of the most popular areas of the town square, there were even people who fainted due to the explosion of flavors and Blake couldn't blame them.
It seemed that the festival was being a success, and that had made Blake relax and then turn his attention to the people around him. It was true that he normally only interacts with those who live in the town and has rarely spoken with some tourists, but he had to say that their presence was always there.
Blake only needed a glance to make him aware of the diversity of people there, not only because there were so many of them, but also because it was undeniable that, in addition to humans, the crowd was also made up of some elves and those who Blake believed to be dwarfs after identifying some of their characteristics; he even got to see a mer who was happily relishing the food, which was quite noteworthy.
"Ah, sorry…" And that same voice was fully audible to Blake since it seemed that the person to whom it belonged had just bumped into him.
"Don't worry, didn't you get hurt?" Blake realized the situation and felt the need to see if the other part hadn't hurt themselves in some way, but it seemed like that hadn't been the case.
"Do not worry, I'm fine. I think I should pay more attention to where I'm going, it's just that I'm excited." The voice of that person really expressed that feeling, and Blake was able to take a closer look at it once the situation calmed down enough.
She was a girl, she didn't seem to differ much from how old Blake appeared to be, and she gave off a feeling of energy. Her long brown hair fell behind her shoulders ending in a pair of braids that kept everything in place, she wore a set of clothes that only expressed comfort since it was a pair of blue shorts and a blouse of the same pink color as her eyes.
On her feet were a pair of sandals with leather threads that completely embraced her legs so as not to break free, there was a simple tiara on her head with some accessories that made it stand out and on one side of her waist you could see, as in most of people, a small sack that was surely powered by a spatial matrix.
"Are you also a tourist?" It didn't take long for that girl's voice to be present once more, besides that she was trying to catch Blake's attention.
"I actually live here in town, though it hasn't been long since I've moved." Blake didn't mind making small talk, plus he didn't want to be rude.
"Really? It hasn't been long since I last came to Sharance, but that makes more sense that you just moved." The girl had a thoughtful look, but she quickly snapped back to reality. "I thought I could show you the town a bit as an apology for the little accident, but I guess it's not necessary, by the way, I live in Blossom town, I hope you at least know about it."
The girl looked at Blake with a judging face, but he could only laugh nervously at that girl's attitude as she got so far into the sudden conversation.
"Of course I know about it, although I haven't had a chance to go and meet it yet." Blake quickly made that point clear.
"Well, you should do it, you won't regret it in any way, haha… It's true, I think I should have done this before. Nice to meet you, my name is Nana, I apologize again for bumping into you." The girl with the name of Nana introduced herself remembering that important aspect and Blake was about to do the same, but a primal instinct had alerted him at that moment, and it was the same as when he met all the girls in town... Something strange was going to happen.
