/Holiday Spring 19/6:00 AM/
A new day had arrived once again... And as we all know, everyone's favorite routine had to be repeated.
[Sleeping skill, increased.]
On the only bed inside the Sharance tree, was the figure of Blake resting peacefully, but then he felt that voice that he knew quite well as if it was drilling into his head making it impossible for him to stay asleep.
"Sigh... Anyway, I guess I'll have to get up." Blake kept lying down in an attempt to maybe go back to sleep, but it was really impossible for him once he saw the peculiar blue and green bars filled at the same time that he couldn't avoid thinking to himself. 'Hmm… Even though I fell asleep quite late, I don't understand why I'm not still tired, I couldn't even sleep for two hours.'
That was pretty funny, but then Blake remembered something. In addition to noticing that the system always woke him up at six in the morning, he remembered that the time he felt fatigued was because he had stayed awake longer than that hour.
So now, it was quite remarkable that he fell asleep before the time the system woke him up and that was enough to regenerate all of his runic energy plus he didn't feel tired at all.
It was another one of those situations in which Blake had to prove his theory another time, but that didn't seem to be the moment since something, or rather, someone caught his attention.
"Good morning, brother Blake!" Ragna's voice was heard loudly inside the Sharance tree, even some birds could be seen flying because of it.
That also caused any trace of sleepiness to escape from Blake before he returned Ragna's greeting.
"Good morning to you too, Ragna... I hope you haven't had trouble sleeping." Those words were a bit unnecessary since Blake was aware that nothing had been able to wake him up.
"Actually, I don't think I've ever slept so comfortably, but... Maybe it's just me, but I don't know when I fell asleep, the last thing I remember is that we were talking and then... I woke up in my sleeping bag." Ragna was scratching his head a bit trying to remember something else, but that was all that was left on his mind.
Blake didn't think it was necessary to tell him the truth, so he abruptly changed the conversation instead.
"Sometimes those things happen... Anyway, it seems like we have a whole new day ahead of us... Now that I remember, there will be a festival in town today, would you be interested in going?" Blake had also remembered the supposed festival that would take place that day, obviously he was going to participate, so he didn't see any problem with inviting Ragna as well.
"Really?! I would love to go, in my town we also have festivals and they are always great, I was hoping to experience all that Sharance has to offer, so I can't miss this." Ragna's characteristic emotion had returned to him, but he also had something else in mind. "But I guess it hasn't started yet... So I was thinking of helping you out a bit with your crops, brother Blake."
At first, Blake thought it was a good idea, but then he realized something important.
"It would be fine, but the problem is that I forgot to buy more seeds yesterday." Blake knew he had more seeds thanks to the system, but he would like to plant a good amount of them at once... Although he did not know if the flower shop would be open for the festival.
"Yeah, that's really a problem... And I don't have any seeds with me, so I guess I can't think of anything else." Ragna struck a thoughtful pose, but Blake already had an idea in mind.
"Since we can't take care of the fields, how about doing some requests to pass the time?" That was already normal for Blake, but Ranga asked a question since he was somewhat confused.
"Request? Is there a branch of the messaging department near here?" Blake didn't know why Ragna was asking that question, but he answered as best he could.
"Actually I don't know if there are any near the town, but why do you ask?"
"It's because you mentioned that we could do a request to pass the time." And now... Both Blake and Ragna were a bit lost due to each other's words.
….
….
"Oh... I didn't know anything about that, now I understand why that confusion happened." Blake just understood everything that Ragna told him.
He had explained the mechanics that the messaging department had about requests, so Blake thought it was not surprising that Ragna thought that was what he was talking about.
"Yes, that's why I asked those questions... And if you weren't talking about the requests from the messaging department, what requests were you referring to, brother Blake?" Now it was Ragna who was a bit curious.
It was Blake's turn to explain, but it didn't take long.
…
"And that would basically be it." In a few words, Blake explained to Ragna the same thing that Shara had told him the first time he heard about the requests, so Ragna had no trouble understanding it.
"So you were talking about that, it's an amazing way for everyone in the village to help each other… Maybe I should talk to the mayor about it once I get back to Kardia…" Ragna muttered that last part, but Blake could still hear him.
"So what do you think of the idea?" With everything cleared up, Blake asked Ragna that question again.
"Count me in, brother Blake. But before that, I'd like to eat something." A small growl escaped Ragna's stomach just as he said that.
Blake noticed, but as always, he didn't feel hungry as his runic energy was completely filled.
But then, he saw Ragna taking what appeared to be some turnips out of his bag at the same time he asked if he could use the kitchen area. Blake didn't refuse, but before Ragna could start preparing anything, a question occurred to him.
