The mood hadn't been lost at the time and it seemed that Raven had something to say this time.
"Although, I was thinking about it for a while and I feel a little strange."
"Strange?" Blake was confused and quite interested in the reason for it.
"Yeah, if you didn't stop that plate from hitting me, you would have been the winner."
'So that was it.' Blake didn't think much about it, although it was kind of funny to him that Raven acted that way. "Don't worry, I'm really glad it didn't hit you, it's not a very pleasant feeling what comes after if you ask me."
Reacting to what he just said, Blake felt a shiver run down his spine at the memory of the plate crashing into his face.
"But still…I'd like you to have this as a thank you." And before he could ask what she was talking about, Blake noticed Raven handing him several papers and taking them with a confused face. "This is part of the prize I received for first place, it's some recipes written by Blaise, I know it's not much, but I wish you had them."
"But..." Blake was about to reject them since it didn't seem right to take them as thanks, but knowing Raven, he knew that whatever he said would have no result. "Okay, but I won't take them as thanks, I've been giving you toyherbs as a gift, right? Then I'll consider these recipes as a gift from you, what do you think?"
A new silence filled the whole place, this type of situation was no longer new to Blake, he had already begun to understand the correct way to communicate with Raven, so he also kept silent and waited until she spoke again.
"Okay, and thanks for what you did earlier."
"Haha, I would do it again if necessary."
"But don't do it..." After a few laughs that only came out of Blake's mouth, the atmosphere of the place seemed to soften, the moon rose even higher in the sky and the sounds of the night could be heard if you paid enough attention to them making you aware of the time.
"I think it's a little late, I'm sorry I kept you up, Raven."
"Don't worry…" Noticing the situation, Blake had a fleeting idea.
"How about I walk you home? Of course, if it's not a problem for you."
"Actually, I live here."
"I see... Wait, did you say you live here?!"
"Yes, is there something strange?"
"No, there's nothing strange, it's just that I was surprised that you lived here in the smithy." Blake was about to say goodbye again, but he was surprised that Raven had something else to say.
"The first time I arrived in the town I had no place to stay, but that same day I met Gaius, he offered me a job and said that I could live with him if I had no other place to go."
"I understand..." And listening to that story, Blake couldn't help but feel a déjà vu. 'It's almost like when I arrived in town, although I must say that I feel a little strange, I think it's the first time that Raven talks so much with me or something about her.'
"Then I guess I won't have to walk you back, haha."
"No... But I appreciate the intention."
"Well, I guess I'll go home, I still feel a little tired from the whole event and I'd like to fall into my bed as soon as possible, thanks also for the recipes, I'll try to learn them so I don't waste them, see you tomorrow, Raven."
"See ya…"
"Yes, bye..." But before he could finish saying goodbye, Blake was greatly surprised when Raven put her hands on his cheeks and then looked him directly in the eyes making Blake not understand what she was doing. "Uh... Raven?"
"Your eyes..." The situation was peculiar to say the least and even though Blake felt strange about what Raven was doing, he couldn't ignore the huge blue eyes that were looking at him and getting lost in them at the same time.
"What about my eyes?" He asked that question after trying to ignore the deep gaze she was on him trying to understand the reason for it.
"I could swear your eyes were blue... But maybe it's just my imagination." That was when he understood what she meant, it was true that after that his eyes had stopped being blue to change to the gray they have now, but as no one had really noticed this, he had completely forgotten about it. He was about to say that they had actually always been that color, but he thought he could trust her.
"Actually... You're right, they used to be blue."
"I see..."
"Aren't you going to ask why they are gray now?"
"I wouldn't want to bother you with that, maybe something happened that you don't want to tell."
"Haha, you are very considerate."
"I do not think it's that."
"But it doesn't bother me, long story short, this has to do with my elemental affinity, Marjorie doesn't know why this happened either, but aside from the color, it didn't really change anything."
"It's the first time I've heard something like that."
"Marjorie also said that it is something quite strange that this happened, but it does not worry me, who knows, maybe in the future they will return to normal."
"Perhaps, but looking closely, I must say that... They are really beautiful." Blake did not expect that comment and would have appreciated the compliment at that moment if it had not been because Raven seemed to be in another world as she continued to look intensely into his eyes making him some nerves were generated in him by having his face so close to hers when he realized that in all that time she had continued in the same position.
"Raven?" And the moment he tried to get her attention, Raven seemed to realize what she was doing and quickly backed away from him.
"I, I'm sorry, I don't know what happened to me." Blake was able to catch a breath once he was away from her and he didn't want her to get flustered.
"Don't worry, I think the best thing would be for me to go, I don't want to keep bothering you, have a good night"
"Likewise..." And without delaying another second, Blake ran out of the building as fast as he could while in his mind, he kept repeating the same scene as before and remembering the face of the redhead girl who seemed completely lost in him.
"Pant... Pant... Why the heck did I run away?" And still not understanding what had really happened to him at that moment, Blake arrived at his house and jumped into his bed to end the day while he thought about all the things he has to do in a future.
