Chapter 8 - Day 8: Too much information (I)

/Monday, Spring 2/7:00 AM/

"Well... What should I do now? Shara gave me some seeds; I think I'm going to plant them to grow..." And as normal, that voice made an appearance at that moment, making Blake wonder if he could ever get used to that.

[Acquired: Basic knowledge.]

"Basic knowledge...?"

[Requirements for system upgrade have been met. Congratulations on increasing his knowledge of this world.]

"System update?" What was happening was very confusing to Blake and he did not understand most of the things that the voice was saying to him. But until that moment something had not happened that put him in danger or that that voice had bad intentions, in fact it had helped him on several occasions, so he decided not to get more nervous and think calmly to better understand what it was about.

"Mmmmm... Let's see, what have I heard so far...?" After being immersed in his mind for a long time analyzing everything that had happened, he reached his own conclusions. "From what I saw when I was in front of those monsters, I heard in my head the species to which they belonged and their status... So I suppose it would work with other monsters as a kind of analysis or something... I don't know if it belongs to that voice, but there are also those colored bars, although now I can't see them..."

In that instant, Blake concentrated on an attempt to make those bars reappear, and as if coming to his call, he could see both appear in the upper left corner of his vision and after a few seconds, they disappeared again.

"So they're still there, but they seem to hide after a while... From what I could see, the green bar represents my life energy and the blue one should be my runic energy, I'll assume this is all part of that voice... Another thing would be that every time I get something, it sounds in my head what it is, I must say that it is a bit annoying... What else...? Oh yes! I think it helps me also to learn magic without needing to understand those strange symbols, even though I feel like I'm cheating, I can't complain... And finally, there's the inventory." And as soon as that thought was over, the alleged inventory appeared in front of him again.

"It seems that just thinking about it already shows up, huh? Is it me or does something look different?" What he could appreciate was that the inventory had changed, it was no longer a simple rectangle divided into small squares, now it could be seen that to the left of it some strange data appeared that Blake soon understood what they were referring to.

{Name: Blake

Species: ???

Level: 2

HP: 40/40

RP: 40/55

Coins: 500G

ATK: 0

DEF: 0

M.ATK: 0

M.DEF: 0

STR: 11

VIT: 12

INT: 12}

"So this was referring to improving of system, how strange, why do those question marks appear where my species is? Maybe it's a simple mistake... Well, removing that, now I understand what level increase is... Those also seem to be my stats or something, but why is almost everything at zero?... Is it because I don't have a weapon equipped?" Blake wanted to equip the short sword that was left in his inventory, but this time from just thinking about it, he wanted to equip it by tapping on the inventory icon, and as he did so, an information box appeared in front of him.

{Broadsword. Level 1.

Light and easy-to-use sword. Recommended for beginners. So versatile that some also use it as a knife.

ATK +5 when equipped.}

Blake was more and more surprised, taking away his initial distrust, his curiosity about what this is that only happened to him, increased as he discovered more and more.

"This is also new... Is it...?" Wasting no time, he stopped selecting the little saber and touched the image of the seeds that Shara had given him.

{Toyherb seed. Level 1.

Plant it in spring. A delicate flower that requires some hard work.

Growing time: 2 days.}

And he again repeated the same action, but now selected the little white flowers.

{Toyherb. Level 1.

Medicinal flower good for health. It can be difficult to grow. Eat it to cure fatigue.

Effect when consumed: HP Rec + 2%, RP Rec + 15%.

Duration: 3 Hours.}

"So I was right, it seems that the upgrade allows me to see information about the objects that I have in my inventory, but why do the objects have a level? Is there a way to improve them or something like that?... It would be better to think on that later, first I want to test what I had in mind." Once again, Blake selected the sword icon, and this time he managed to equip it, then he opened his inventory and managed to see that instead of the ATK value being zero, it was 5 instead, making him glad he was right.

"This is too useful, but I have to find out if I'm the only one who can do this or if there are more people like me, I don't want them to treat me like crazy or try to experiment with me, for now, I think I'll hide it for the best that I can and I will get used to using it. Well, it has been a long time since I entertained myself with all this, I will plant the seeds that Shara gave me and I will go to her house." Since Blake ended up accepting the strange situation he had in hand, he began to repeat what he had learned, began to till 3 plots near the ones he had already prepared, distributed each bag of seeds in each one of them, and then took the watering can and added the water in each part of the land, and while doing all that, he noticed that the strange colored bars appeared and that the blue one had been reduced a little at the same time that the typical notifications sounded in his mind.

[Earth skill, increased.]

[Life skill, increased.]

[Water skill, increased.]

[Farming skill increased.]

[Walking skill, increased.]

Blake felt surprised, he managed to understand that maybe he could learn skills and that they would improve if he put them into practice, but not that that voice would also appear in his mind telling him that they had done it, besides that maybe he understood agriculture, but he wondered what exactly the ability to walk was.

"Are you also telling me every time I increase my skill level? And what do you mean by walking and farming?... Is there something in the inventory?" Again, the peculiar interface appeared and Blake started looking for anything that would give him an idea about what those notifications he had just heard meant. It didn't take long for him to see that a small tab appeared at the top of the inventory and he didn't hesitate to touch it; Once he did, the inventory disappeared and now a kind of table was displayed with the information he was looking for.

{Short sword skill. Level 1

Earth skill. Level 1

Life skill. Level 1

Water skill. Level 1

Farming skill. Level 1

Walking skill. Level 1.}

'Hmm... Interesting.'
