After a couple weeks of grinding out the Small Sand Worm nest, I hit level 7. I decided to bring up my average so I spread my stat points out among my lowest stats. That being defense, strength and stamina. Bringing up my stats panel,

[Congratulations on hitting rank E! You have been awarded with rank E quest: {Monster culling}
Monsters are appearing around the world, as a Monster hunter it's your job to get rid of the ones that threaten the world. However as time goes on, more and more monsters will start appearing outside of monster nests naturally. These are known as field monsters, you must keep up with the rate in which these monsters appear or the world will be overrun.
Quest requirements:
-Kill 10 field monsters
Rewards:
-Access to E rank quests
-1,000 Gold
Do you wish to accept? Y/N]
After reading the quest information I answered "yes". Looking around nothing felt different right away, but there was a nagging feeling in the very depths of my soul that felt relaxed. As if a minor pressure in the area was released one that didn't really affect me all to much, but it would definitely be a good thing for it to be gone. However I chalked that up to a placebo effect.
I messaged Blurry blade and asked him about his rank and if he hit E rank yet.
[Blurry Blade: almost, I think one more level and I should be able to raise my stats enough to hit an average of 10 and hit rank E. Btw, how did you reach such a rank so fast?
Goblin Wrangler: well the nearby nest wasn't cutting it for me in terms of gold, I wanted some gear and I wanted it fast, so I spent a bit of gold to buy nest cords, and used my new flight skill to get there, here as my friend and as a thank for helping me on the first raid when neither of us knew what we were doing, you can just have them. It's quite a ways away, so I recommend some sort of transportation skill. Or I guess a car will work to. But also give it awhile, it can give you a lot of gold and XP, but it takes like two whole weeks for it to fill out and the guy I bought the info from already does it. Maybe I can ask him to hold one clear out for you.
[ Transferring Large Bat nest information ]
[Blurry Blade: thanks dude, yeah can you ask them for me? Also I'd like there name to so I can get in touch directly.
Goblin Stomper: sure thing, his name is Snake Wrangler.]
Now in a different private chat room
[Goblin Stomper: Yo I got a buddy who wants to clear out the Large bat nest, you mind holding off of it for awhile?
Snake Wrangler: sure however it'll have to be the next one, I have a large order of healing potions going out to a couple businesses, apparently some guy nearby was told by an employee that healing potions work on civilians, so he told his entrepreneur buddies and they are buying the low grade stuff like crazy. I need the coins these low grade potions that heal for more than their max HP are really expensive. I need it this Saturday since I just got a bunch of orders and promised them filled by next week.
Goblin Stomper: wild, I think I am actually responsible for that though. It was this whole thing with a Karan and her wanting a potion and it brought up an interesting question, while mana potions are useless, what about healing potions? Sk the cashier went on break and I hit him with a basic spell, and the rest is history after he immediately felt better after drinking some of it.
Snake Wrangler: Well thanks for that, I now have a real steady income stream, here I can spare a few potions, do you want health or mana?
Goblin Stomper: Well I like money and have extra MP regeneration so I'll take the new liquid gold, health potions. Can't regen that any faster without a healing spell. Also I'm just gonna sell it for a quick buck, haven't taken any damage at all since the bat cave and even then it was only a single hit and I won the battle in the next moment.
Snake Wrangler: Well good luck, also is this Blurry Blade guy that friend of yours? He just messaged me claiming to be friends with you and stuff.
Goblin Stomper: Yep, just give him the basic rundown.]
[Receiving five health potions]
"Nice, time to sell these for let's say, 40 dollars each? That's like 40 dollars every three days assuming they sell easy, easiest money ever, and it isn't taxable until my sales start breaching a certain point, after I'm 18 and independent, not like the government can take my gold and inventory items. Gotta love that tax evasion."
Next item on the list is actually selling these bad boys, I can promise one every three days. More if I get mid items that sell well and quite a bit every time I go over to the Large Bat nest. First I should increase my stock, five more sounds about right.
With another 1,000 gold down the drain I made an account on VGulf, and made a post for 10 healing potions for 40 dollars each, making a note that said "they work on regular humans and don't only relive pain but also recover injuries and even regenerate your body faster. To what extent? I don't know, but these potions also don't get rid of "status conditions" such as being poisoned or sick, but physical pain will go away."
After about an hour I had a buyer interested in my potions. They sent me the first message,
"Hey, I'm willing to buy all ten for 80 dollars. Take it or leave it, it's the best offer you'll get". After some not so careful consideration, I instantly sent back a refusal of his offer, "After careful consideration, I have decided to decline your offer, I am trying to sell these guys at a good price and I can only get one every few days, and in rare instances, maybe a few more, if you can find a better deal anywhere please send it to me, I'll price match it to the best of my abilities." The buyer tried a few things afterwards, it seemed like he was going through the five stages of grief. First with denial "Man, I know you are lying just to squeeze a few extra dollars out of me." Next with anger, "YOU ARE GONNA TAKE MY OFFER OR YOU ARE GOING TO BE OUT OF A REASONABLE OFFER NO ONE WILL BE AS GENROUSE AS ME." Next was bargaining, "c'mon man, how about only half of them for 80 dollars? I just doubled my original offer." Next was Depression, "man I really need this I have this loved one who is incredibly injured and sick and might not walk anytime soon." And after some explaining how it won't help with being sick even if his blatant lie was true, eventually he reached the final stage, acceptance "fine then I don't want your shitty potions anyway, I am going to report your account for fraud and refusing to sell to me for discriminatory reasons."
Meanwhile I got another buyer. Who was way kinder. "Hello, I actually have a question about your product? Does it work if you partially drink it?" Another great question I didn't know the answer to. "Well, I am not entirely sure myself. It may work that way, but I can't really test it as of right now, these potions are kind of expensive for me right now and I would prefer not to waste one. But I will still sell you these potions to you at their stated price with free shipping within a certain radius of my own home." The buyer replied to this message almost immediately, "Yes, I'd like to pay for 3 of them please. I plan on having them kept in a first aid kit. But I fully understand why they are so expensive. But once you are able to lower the price I will be the first to snatch up your entire stock."
After she paid the $120 she owed, and sent over her shipping address, I decided to make the package look nice, and went out and bought a little bag to keep them in, while also in my inventory. I quickly flew over to her place which was inside my range as I made sure I could only ship locally on VGulf, as I couldn't quite get it shipped to far as of right now.
After a few minutes I arrived and after putting everything away, I pulled out her little bag of potions and walked up to her front door, it wasn't a particularly big house, but it also wasn't small. The front yard was well kept also.
After I knocked a woman opened the door and was surprised by my visit, I told the woman that I was here to deliver an order of three health potions. Then her eyes lit up, "whoah, how did you get here so fast? When you said free within a certain radius, I didn't expect instant as well. Do you just live in the neighborhood?" Listening to her questions I simply answered truthfully. "No I don't flying is a lot faster than driving, anyway here is your order, I'll be on my way now. No new buyers yet but I'm sure there will be some, I'll
Contact some hospitals to see if they are at all interested. I mean, these can bring anyone from the real world equivalent of 1HP to completely healthy disregarding anything like poison."
