Meera finally relented. She wanted to sit down and talk a few words because in front of her were Marcus' parents and his older sister. The atmosphere is still awkward, but 80% of their expressions look pitiful, and the rest are really disappointed.
Every now and then, Meera glanced at Marcus with a look that looked more like a post office mat to ask for support. But Marcus seemed satisfied with all the possibilities. His best response was silence.
