Turns out it wasn't true; Marcus' food had caused Meera to vomit tremendously. The young pregnant woman vomited until she almost choked and even cried because of the torment. Her stomach asked to be drained, even until there was nothing left but her desire to vomit had not disappeared. It hurt so much that she didn't even know when the tears started to flow, not only from vomiting but from crying as well.
"Sorry, love." Marcus massaged the nape of his neck, looking very, very guilty and very worried. He wanted to take Meera to the doctor, but yesterday's ultimatum was quite confusing. But isn't vomiting in pregnant women a common thing?
