"Hmm... There are no other abnormalities, but it seems she's suffering from amnesia," the doctor sighed, shaking his head.
"Thank you, Mister Oliver," Emily said, bowing as the doctor left the room.
"Uhm... Miss Emily? If it's okay to ask, what happened?" I inquired, watching as she took a seat on the nearby chair, her expression thoughtful.
"I'm not entirely sure what happened. Aria-sama was looking for you earlier, so I went to find you. I discovered you unconscious under a tree, and you wouldn't wake up, even when I called your name."
"Oh." I blinked and turned to the mirror hanging on the wall. Staring back at me was a girl around 15 or 16 years old, dressed in a butler suit. I had beautiful golden hair tied in a ponytail and cold, emerald eyes. My height was around 168 to 170 centimeters—tall for a girl—and my body was athletic, with a bit of muscle but still slim compared to the men.
Emily stood up, and I noticed I was about a head taller than her. "Let's go. I'm sure Aria-sama still doesn't know what happened to you, and she's been looking for you," she said. I nodded, and we left the room together.
As we walked down the hallway, Emily moved two steps ahead, and I took the opportunity to observe my surroundings.
This really is the mansion of a duke—elegant and extravagant. I wondered how long we would keep walking. Not that I was complaining.
"We're here," Emily announced, opening a tall, ornate door that looked far grander than any I had seen before. Stepping inside, I saw a petite young lady gazing out the window, her long, fluffy peach-colored hair catching the light.
"Miss, Hayden is here," Emily said, bowing. The young lady turned around, her amber phoenix eyes blinking in surprise, framed by long eyelashes.
"Hayden, where have you been? I've been looking for you since this morning!" The young lady's voice was a mix of concern and annoyance. I recognized her immediately as Aria Williams, my favorite character from *Arranged Marriage with the Second Prince*.
I was momentarily stunned by her beauty and elegance, leaving me speechless. From an outsider's perspective, it must have looked like I was staring at her coldly, devoid of expression.
"Hayden?" Aria's brow furrowed with worry. Emily bowed again, explaining, "Miss, I found Hayden lying unconscious under a tree. When she woke up, she seemed to have forgotten everything. We went to Mister Oliver for a check-up, and he said it looks like she has amnesia."
Aria's eyes widened in disbelief. She rushed toward me, gripping my shoulders gently. "Hey, Hayden, are you hurt? Do you need to rest?"
Since Aria was about the same height as Emily, she had to look up at me. I met her gaze, her face close to mine, and my heart raced.
"Mm..." I nodded, trying to keep my voice steady. "Worry not, miss; I am okay..." I looked away, struggling to calm myself and resist the urge to pull her into a hug. I was overjoyed, wanting to shout and run around, but I needed to compose myself.
Aria sighed in relief, releasing my shoulders but still gazing at me with a soft smile. "That's a relief."
ACK! My heart felt as if it had been pierced by an arrow. She was too cute! I wanted to hug her tightly! Calm down, self; you need to maintain your composure!
My heart continued to race, and I could feel a blush creeping onto my cheeks. I glanced away in embarrassment, nodding again. "Mm…"
Aria giggled softly. "It seems that even with amnesia, your responses haven't changed at all. I'm glad." She kept smiling while I struggled to rein in my emotions.
If I die right now, I wouldn't have any regrets!
