"Aleeta, if what I said last night made you uncomfortable, forget it. I don't want our good relationship to be far away because of a word from me." Rendra ventured to look at Aleeta more deeply.
"Can we still be friends? I want everything to flow as it is. Tell me if you are not comfortable with my words and attitudes in the future. I will try to fix everything. But I beg of you, Aleeta. Never deny if that feeling has grown in your heart later. I want us to try to walk together, hand in hand. And just say that if you really have someone special in your heart."
Rendra's words made Aleeta's heart stir. She didn't force her feelings on the woman who was looking at him, but gave Aleeta time to believe in her own feelings. Rendra is different from some of the men who have been approaching him.
"Ryan, I respect your feelings, but I'm afraid if you wait too long. I don't know when that time will come, the time when I can reciprocate your feelings." Aleeta still needs time to convince her heart. He wanted to see how deeply Rendra felt.
"I will wait!" said Rendra. "Let everything flow as it should. Don't avoid me anymore just because you want to deny all taste. Let's just say I'm a friend who is trying to be someone special in your heart. And remember, tell me if you feel any of my attitudes and words make you feel uncomfortable." Redra winked, making a beautiful curve of his lips. Make Aleeta smile too.
"Are you going to wait even though I won't be answering anytime soon?" asked Aleeta trying to test Rendra.
"Yeah, I'll wait until you're ready. Until then, please don't force me to stop liking you because this is how I feel and you have no right to tell me to stop feeling."
Aleeta was silent and then smiled. Yes, he seems to have mistaken Rendra. She thought that the man was someone who would force her will like most men who approach her.
However, all of that did not necessarily make Aleeta immediately accept Rendra's feelings. It is true, if the woman has felt strange flutters when she is together or when she remembers the man. But she still wanted to confirm his feelings. Because all this time her heart had chosen to be loyal to one person, namely his little friend.
"Okay, it's up to you. But, I will not bear the consequences," said Aleeta as if to destroy Rendra's hopes.
Rendra curled his lips into a charming smile, then said, "Thank you, Aleeta. Sorry for wasting your precious time, I say goodbye because our conversation is over. Keep smiling, because when you smile you will look more beautiful."
Rendra immediately got up from his seat, then walked away leaving Aleeta. Once again he turned to face her, waving his hands in the air as a farewell.
"Ugh, I almost did. This isn't going to be easy for my heart."
Aleeta was happy because she was able to maintain her flat expression until Rendra left. Since then she had not been able to look at the man's face for a long time because her heart was beating twice as fast as usual. Hopefully Rendra didn't hear her heartbeat, otherwise she would be very embarrassed.
Aleeta asks for camomile tea to relax her more. For a moment enjoying the warm drink while imagining Rendra's face. But soon stopped because the heart was racing again.
"What did I do? Ah, maybe I have symptoms of heart disease. If not, why is my heart always pounding," Aleeta softly held her chest.
"I have to go to the hospital," she added with a serious face. Want to make sure everything before it's too late, because health is the most important thing.
Meanwhile Rendra left Aleeta's office feeling happy. Even though the woman hadn't accepted his feelings yet, at least after he confessed his feelings it made the man feel much more relieved.
"Get ready to accept my love attack Aleeta," said Rendra happily behind the wheel.
After today Rendra was free to express his feelings and there was no need to hide them anymore. He will make Aleeta fall in love with him immediately and change her decision.
The vibration of the phone in his pocket caught his attention.
"Hello-"
"Hello, Ryan dear. What a coincidence you called me, you must be thinking about me, right?" Rendra answered the phone with a beaming face. If anyone had seen him, they would have misunderstood that it was his girlfriend who called the man.
"He-hello? Boss?" Ryan checked the name on his cell phone, just in case what he called was not the boss's number. "The number is correct, really," he added surprised.
"What are you doing, Ryan dear? Tell me here?"
Ryan glared, his whole body got goosebumps hearing a man's affectionate call.
"This is true with Mr. Rajendra Alister, isn't it?" Ryan asked timidly. It is very likely that the one who answered the call was not his superior.
"It's really me, isn't it, Ryan? It's only been a while since I've been away that we've forgotten my voice?" protested Rendra displeased.
"Um, sorry, boss. I've made sure the number is correct, but the way you talk is different from usual, so it makes me think it's not you," Ryan said explaining. Because all this time his boss had never acted flirtatious like before. Even on the phone with the woman he's dating.
"Um, what was I talking about earlier?" Rendra huffed in annoyance regretting his actions.
"H-huh? Y-you just sound really happy. Y-yes that's right." Ryan looked confused by Rendra's mood swings that changed as quickly as turning a palm.
"Ah, I thought what were you going to say? You happened to call when I was thinking about you," said Rendra from the other side. Deliberately hanging a sentence to tease the assistant.
"Huh... why are you thinking of me?" Ryan rounded perfectly. Very afraid that he will get unreasonable assignments or punishments from his superiors.
"Why? You mind?" Rendra accused Ryan. If that was the case, of course his assistant would be severely punished.
"Of course not, Boss. How could I dare?" Ryan said nervously. "You are free to think about you any time unless...." He immediately covered his mouth with his hand. The man almost slipped and ended up making Rendra angry.
"Except-"
"Why did you call me, Boss. Seems like something important and urgent." Ryan immediately changed the subject so that Rendra's mood would not worsen.
"You know me very well, Ryan."
Rendra smiled again when he remembered the task he would give Ryan. He was sure that soon Aleeta would fall in his arms.
"I want you to bring me fresh red roses from tomorrow to the office. The number corresponds to the day you start them. Tomorrow one stalk, the next two, then three, and so on."
"Huh? Why did he have to bring you roses?"
