Aleeta immediately left when she saw that the plate in front of Rendra was completely empty. He reached out his hand to reach for the plates. However, Rendra took it first.
"Mrs. Aleeta has cooked for me. So, let me wash the dirty dishes," said Rendra smiling.
"But you are still sick," said Aleeta, about to take the dirty plate in Rendra's hand.
"I'm healthy, really. Want proof?" Kendra blinked an eye. A naughty idea crossed the man's mind. However, of course his mind was still clear enough not to do so. He wanted to approach Aleeta slowly. Do not let the wrong step, to make the woman even further away from him.
"Um, okay. Please wash the dishes. I'll clean up the kitchen first." Aleeta turned around to walk towards the kitchen. However, the look of the kitchen which was really chaotic made him stop walking. "Yuh... what did I actually do earlier? It's not like a cooking pot. This place is more like a bombed battlefield."
Rendra, who heard Aleeta's words, also looked towards the kitchen. What the woman said was true. This was the first time he saw the kitchen that seemed to have been hit by a bombardment.
The man hurriedly walked towards the place where Aleeta was standing. "Sorry," he whispered before slowly untying the apron around Aleeta's waist.
Aleeta was so shocked that she couldn't utter a word. He even forgot to breathe, for fear that the sound of his beating heart that claimed to be great inside could be heard by Rendra.
After removing the apron, Rendra then put it on his own body so casually. Without knowing that he just made Aleeta's heart work harder than usual.
"Shit!" Aleeta cursed in her heart after being able to control herself. He was so sure that his face was as red as a tomato by now.
Rendra then pushed Aleeta's body away and sat back down at the dining table.
"Why?" Aleeta protests, but still obeys Rendra. In fact, he was reluctant to clean the kitchen. However, of course he wasn't the type to run away from responsibilities.
"Just leave me alone. You just sit here." Rendra sat Aleeta's body after pulling a chair for the woman.
"I ? You?" Aleeta showed herself and Rendra alternately with confused faces.
"Ah, sorry if I'm being rude, Mrs. Aleeta. I think we're closer now. So–"
"It's okay. You can talk to me more casually. But remember ... only if it's just the two of us!"
Rendra nodded firmly at Aleeta's words. His face clearly radiated happiness. Isn't that a sign that they're one step closer, right? This means that they have become closer and may become lovers in the near future. Now the energy seems to have been re-charged.
Rendra seemed agile to collect all the cooking utensils and clean the kitchen. After the kitchen was clean, the man washed the dishes. Looks very nimble for a man's size. While Aleeta still faithfully stared at her back while sipping the cold drink that Rendra had taken from the refrigerator earlier.
"Why? You've never seen a handsome man wash the dishes?" asked Rendra raising an eyebrow. Ah, he cursed himself for being so hasty. They had just decided to talk more casually. However, the man has now dared to make a joke. "I was just joking," he added later after seeing the woman staring at him blankly without giving any reaction.
"What?" ask Aleeta
"My word." Rendra tried to show a look of regret on his face. Despite the fact that he really wanted to break the barrier that towered between them. I don't know when the two of them can talk casually while throwing jokes. Hopefully soon.
"Which were?" Rendra then responded to the question with a nod. "But I don't think it's a joke ...." Aleeta deliberately hung her words. Wanted to see the reaction the man showed first.
"Sorry. Next time I won't joke anymore," Rendra whispered with a sad face. It was clear he was very anxious about their closeness which was just about to begin. However, it must end even just at the starting line.
"I think it's all true. That you are a handsome man washing the dishes. So, why are you apologizing? You're not lying, are you?" explained Aleeta casually. Really showing an expressionless face, even though his heart was racing. Saying Rendra is a handsome man really takes extra courage according to him.
Randra just dazed holding the plate in her hand. At a glance, then he returned to continue his activities which were delayed because of Aleeta's words. Did that woman even know that she was overjoyed now? Isn't that assessment a sign that he has a chance to get closer to Aleeta?
Dear God, You have so many surprises for me today. If with pain You give happiness like this, I am willing God. Eh, but if I'm sick, when can I date Aleeta? Wait, we're even just getting to know each other. But I've been thinking about a date? You're crazy, Rendra. Your sanity is lost because of a woman. Where is Rendra who is an expert in toying with women? Rendra was busy thinking about everything that came into his mind.
Now they both chose silence. Lost in each other's thoughts. The doorbell rang then broke the silence. Aleeta quickly got up to check who had come. Maybe it was Ryan, so he could go home soon.
"Ryan ... did you order something?" asked Aleeta who came back in. Make sure it's correct before opening the door. The reason is that there are not a few crimes with the mode of carrying online orders.
"Yes, I ordered a strawberry cake for you. I hope you like it." Rendra looked at the woman while flashing a smile. After a while, he returned to busy arranging the dishes he had washed. Aleeta immediately returned to the front to take Rendra's order. At the dinner table, the man was waiting with two plates and a small spoon in his hand. Just as they were about to eat their first bite, the doorbell rang again.
"You just continue, let me open it," said Rendra before Aleeta left.
"Okay."
Ah, Rendra feels very upset. I don't know who dares to interfere with the time alone with Aleeta.
"I swear, hopefully all Mondays and hopefully the calendar doesn't have a red date," he cursed angrily. His frustration peaked when he saw that the person who was bothering him was Ryan, his assistant.
"How dare you-"
"I'm so sorry, Boss. You can scold me later, but not now. I need your autograph now." Ryan cut Rendra's words before the man could finish.
"Is there something urgent that you dare to disturb me and Aleeta?" Rendra growled. His hands were clenched into fists holding back the emotions that welled up in his chest.
"Sign this file and I'll be gone like a ghost."
Rendra grabbed the file that Ryan handed him immediately. He had to finish it before Aleeta noticed her assistant's presence.
"Oh, Mr. Rendra? Why don't you come in?" asked Aleeta who was right behind Rendra. Of course it made Rendra and Ryan surprised. Ah, how will they quibble this time?
"What's that?" Aleeta added when her netra caught something in Rendra's hand.
The two men looked at each other. I don't know what lies they will tell this time. Each of them was busy thinking of a plausible reason that Aleeta might accept.
"Ah, I was just stopping by, Mrs. Aleeta. Checking to see if Ryan was okay. Though I'm sure that he will be fine being taken care of by, Mrs. Aleeta." Ryan stammered. Sweat slowly began to wet his body from fear.
"You didn't come in?" asked Aleeta. As if he didn't care what Ryan said.
Ryan's phone ringing caught everyone's attention. The man hurried away as if answering an urgent call. Luckily the alarm went off at the right time. He can now justify getting an emergency call so he can leave his boss with the woman he has a crush on.
"Why did you come out? didn't I tell you to just wait for me?"
"I'm just curious, Ryan. I'm afraid you'll faint at the door, that's why you don't come back in," explained Aleeta at length.
Rendra pressed his lips together to hold back a laugh. "I like."
"What?" Aleeta was certainly very surprised. Those ambiguous words pleased him. However, on the other hand, he didn't want to fall into a misunderstanding.
"I like you worrying about me," said Rendra, leaning closer to Aleeta. Deliberately speaking right into the woman's ear.
Aleta closed her eyes. Rendra's whisper gave him a special sensation. Gives a tickling impression on the ears, heart, and even the whole body.
"I-I have to go now. Yes. Right now." Aleeta ran to the bag she had kept on the sofa. Grab it, and run as fast as you can. When he felt safe, he stopped running and clutched his chest. Trying to make sure his heart is okay.
